My husband attempted to schedule a massage for us. We wanted to be in the same room even though I would have a special table and what not. The spa told him he couldn't be in the room during my massage...is this normal?
From my experience unless the spa offers a couples massage you cannot both be in the same room together. A couples massage and a perinatal massage are considered a "specialty" service, and perhaps they have a policy that disallows them to combine the two? Did your husband ask why?
I get a perinatal massage monthly and I generally like to go solo, so I have not run into this yet.
