Morning sickness

I have tried ginger biscuits sipping ice cold water rubbing my stomach but I'm feeling sick constantly all day please help!! Doesn't help I work in a hot office sat behind a desk 8-5.30

Re: Morning sickness

  • Tart or sour things help some folks. Have you tried Sea Bands? Ginger candies? Snacking all day?

After reading through a lot of morning sickness suggestion I went to the store and got unisom. I have been taking 1/2 unisom at night. It has changed my life. I have felt so much better. I'm shocked that it has made that much difference. Also talked to my doctor who said that it was fine for me to try and that it doesn't work for everyone.

  • Unisom is interesting....I wonder how a sleep aid helps with m/s?

  • Did your m/s just disappear like magic? Or was it much more manageable?

  • Today was the worse so far for me!
  • Today was my first day experiencing m/s. Well for me it was in the afternoon. I just kept eating, drinking my ginger ale and found some mints.

Yeah my nausea is so bad. My doc gave me Diclegis which is basically unisom and B6 (I think). It is a miracle drug but... doesn't seem to be touching it.

I had some lemonade yesterday that helped for a minute... nothing seems to work yet...
    I'm  with you.

I thought I had something going with Dramamine and Sea Bands...  But it only worked for a day..

  • I haven't been able to find any hard ginger candies. I found this one chewy candy that was gross.

  • In currently at eating something constantly, half a unisom at night, sea bands, ginger tea and coconut water. However I had to break down and take a zofran today as after car ride it just got out of hand. Trying whole unisom tonight... I really want to stay off zofran... But I don't know if the severe ms can just be willed away :( I hope you find so etching that works, I don't wish this on anyone!!!

    Bubbly water has helped too.

And... here's a shocker... salt and vinegar chips just made all the difference in the world for me... odd.
Oh my! I hate chips but this sounds SOOOO good right meow!
  • My girlfriend said those hot Cheetos helped her.
Currently I have m/s all day long. I'm wearing Sea Bands, drinking tons of water & Ginger Ale, snacking on graham crackers & saltines, eating those ginger chews (eww), and nothing is helping very much.
This is my 2nd pregnancy & my last!! I wish I were one of those women who have glorious pregnancies!

  • Most days the unisom takes away all of my morning sickness. Even on the bad days its still total manageable for me. It starting working the first day I took it. Its been so nice to be able to leave the house and not feel horrible.

Too weird... Today was my first day of M/S too (threw up right after my shower, just like I did the whole 1st tri with DD).  Anyway, I brought my lunch today but still made a Jimmy Johns run just for some salt and vinegar chips!  I have never done that before.
