Cooperative Board Games: Hoot Owl Hoot

Hi everyone, 

I'm a very occasional poster here but love lurking and hearing about LO's that are DD's age.  I'm thinking about buying a cooperative board game for a nephew who is about to start kindergarten and thought I'd ask here if anyone has any experience with any of them while also letting some mamas know about them who haven't.  There are some board games that you play as a team to win, (hoot owl hoot, race to treasure, stone soup, etc.).  Anyone have any experience with these?  Amazon has some great reviews but the one with the most positive reviews is hoot owl hoot but I'm worried that at 5 years old entering kindergarten my nephew may be too old for it.

Thanks so much ladies, it's so nice to follow this board even though it's quiet.  It's such a nice group of girls here and I love following.
