Does your child sleep with a lovey? This is inspired from some of the answers from the last post.

If so, do you have a back up in case they lose it? I heard that's what some parents do

He doesn't, but I am trying to get him attached to something other then me. So far nothing has worked.

Lily sleeps with a pacifier and a blanket that my granny crocheted her. We do have what we call the travel blanket, which is a small thing that I made out of the spare yarn granny sent me. She likes the big one better, but it's big enough to cover me to my waist, so it doesn't travel well.

LO has two A&A giraffe loveys. He has become so obsessed with have one at all times. I really wish I would have introduced a dark gray one or something this white was a terrible idea.

Not really a lovey but he usually needs a blanket and binky to fall asleep.

I voted yes, but it is kinda yes and no. He favors this stuffed snow leopard (we call if cat... he is really in to cats), but he is not dependent on it. And it NEVER leaves his bed. Once or twice he hasn't had it, and was totally fine with a different stuffed animal.

I have no idea how to go about convincing him that a lovey is a wonderful idea. But I'm kind of okay with it because I don't want to deal with the meltdowns when it gets lost/washed/etc.

She has 2 lovies, but attached to one more than the other. She has a chenille lamb she sleeps with, and a no-sew fleece blanket that she loves to death. She drags it around the house and is attached to the hip with it.

Gah, it's driving me nuts that I used "then" not "than" at 5:30 this morning, but now it's been quoted. Oh well, I do know the difference, I swear!!

DD has her pacifier or soozy as we call it and will only sleep with those thick blankets that have the really soft fluffy stuff on one side. She has three and loves them all equally. She would probably sleep with all three at once but we rotate them so they can get washed.

Yes - the world revolves around monkey. We have two back ups. Thankfully he only uses it for sleeping.

We don't have one either. I'm not trying to push one either. I thought it might be easier without and when he wants one, will attach himself.

I always put it in his crib, but he has no attachment to it whatsoever and pretty much ignores it. I keep hoping something will help him sleep better.
