  • I didn't participate last week, but this week I hope to get in 3, 2-3 mile beach runs, and some HIIT/Weight training excercises at home.  Bummed because I froze my Crossfit account after the BFP and am too embarassed to unfreeze it at this point.

  • I took it easy after having my D&C but I did squeeze in a 2mile run after work and it felt amazing! My goal is to be "dessert-free" for the month of August (I have been overindulging) and get back into running (work back up to running 4 miles no problem and then sign up for a half marathon if I'm not pregnant again by then).

Hey ladies I want to join!

I just started running this year did a 5k a couple months ago an loved it! Going to do a 10k in October might bump it up to a half marathon if I feel ready . It's a wine run so something to look forward to every month that I get a BFN !

Been running 4 times a week 2 miles a day. This week just really trying to improve my time. Next week will start trying to hit 3 miles .

Thanks @epidemic‌ this is awesome !
  • Everyone who wants to join..join on in and tell us your running/workout history and current goals. Don't be shy..we're all friends here!

I did alright with my running last week.. although my dog seems to be slacking a little bit! I'm not sure what his deal is..I suspect it's just getting to warm for him by the time we get out there (still mid 80's and high humidity)

Current goals: I gotta get in decent 5K shape now. With our recent disappointment (expecting CD1 today), it looks like I'll be sent on my 5 week military temporary duty after all, and it involves the joy of weekly 5Ks and other running activities. I hate being the slow person out there, so it's time to get my rear in gear!

  • My runs we're much improved from the prior week. I did four runs for a total of 16 miles. I'm upping it to 18 for this week.

My goals are to get back into strength training while still keeping up with running. I failed at that last week.

  • Last week I got in some pretty good runs, two 3 milers and two 5 milers. This morning I took a Body pump class and my legs are screaming so I'm hoping tomorrow's run isn't torture! I hope everyone had an awesome weekend!

  • Congrats on the PR @slappalicious!

Ok ladies, how were your workouts last week? Did you meet the goals you described in our last discussion? I'm combining these because they're related.  Last week was a massive fail on my part.  I started getting sick on Tuesday, and between that and a hellacious schedule at work I just took off from running and working out.  So I didn't even come close to meeting my goals, and I only ran once the whole week.

What goals are you setting for this week? I need to get myself back into gear.  I'm going to be doing a super clean eating week, and I already am setting up runs with friends for the week to keep me accountable.

  • Question for all you ladies ?! Do you plan on training as hard/ running and pushing yourself once you get a BFP?
  • Didn't make my goal of getting my 5 miler in this week, but I did get a few 3 milers in. Did an electric run on Sunday with my sister, but she could only run about half of it though. Still fun though! They just opened a planet fitness 2 streets down from my house, and I joined last night. Super excited to be able to run after DS goes to bed, and also have other cardio and weight options on my non-running days! My goal is to get to the gym 5 days this week. And to get at least one 5 miler in.

I really believe in listening to your body.  So my last pregnancy I ran the entire 3 trimesters.  I had other friends who stopped running a lot earlier.  Does that make me more badass than them?  Nope.  It just means that each person's body reacts differently to pregnancy.  I don't think you should push yourself once you're pregnant, again because of the listening to your body, but training as hard/running is fine as long as you feel fine.  I've signed up for 4 races between now and the end of the year, and I'll be running all of them, pregnant or not.

  • Thanks @slappalicious‌ @BillyHorrible‌ @AnnaTTCat32‌

In the TWW and def in crazy mode overthinking things. Listening to my body is even what I try o do knoIt's good to know my goals won't go wayside just in case I get a BFP.
  • @slappalicious, Congrats on the PR!!

@Budders12, hopefully the exercise will help you sleep. I find when I do strength training doing squats, lunges, etc, it helps my fibromyalgia pain.  Also intervals of walking 3 min, running 3 minutes on days you're too tired to do a steady jog??

  • I forgot to ask my question in my update!

My legs have felt so tight over the last week that it has been waking me up at night. I've been told by previous personal trainers and yoga peeps that my hamstrings do seem to be really tight in general, more so than you would expect. Do I just need to stretch a lot more? Would getting regular massages help or is that a waste? I'm trying to do the roller thing we have more but wondered if there's something else I should do.

    TIA

  • @Babycowbell -- I have two words for you. FOAM. ROLLER. :) Check out the Trigger Point Foam Roller (just Google it). I have really tight calves, and FRing was a godsend. I tried massage, too, but the truth is that most of them don't really know what they're doing with runners and ended up making my injuries worse. JM2C.
    Love my foam roller!

  • Also try the stick rollers! I was injured about 6 weeks from the Chicago marathon and was able to complete training with the help of a brace to support my calf and finish the race!

  • Guys, this thread totally made my day yesterday. It was so great to jump on last night and read about everyone's goals and accomplishments this past week.

Thank-you all (/end mushy stuff), and let's hit the roads hard this week!
