GTKY: What's on your shopping list

I just got back from the store and realized how ridiculous my shopping cart was - regular tampons, super tampons, a box of pregnancy tests and a package of OPKs. Gotta have all the bases covered. Now I'm prepared no matter how the month turns out, lol.

I'm also looking all over for the perfect color pink shirt to match two skirts I recently received. I've been striking out at all the big box stores, so I think I might have to order something online.

This just got me thinking ... what's on your shopping list? Anything fun? Ridiculous? Just the basics?

  • We do our grocery shopping at target so I can get 5% off with my red card... yesterday I had everything from a maxi skirt, sports bra, kitty litter, beer, wine, coffee, to OPKs and panty liners, shampoo, a flashlight cheese it's, and tampons because there was a good deal... some times I like to go to the 17 year old boy checkers to watch their face as they try to make sense of my cart...

  • @qanda2013 I LOVE Costco ... my absolute favorite item in the store: Sea Salt and Chocolate Covered Caramels ... if you see a container, I swear you won't go wrong buying them! We don't have a Costco membership, but my mom does and she'll often pick up a container of the caramels for me!

ashtog Too funny! Here's to hoping you don't have a yeast infection - antibiotics can be wicked that way. I always try to find the most quiet check out girl - on who's in her twenties and won't comment on what I'm buying - I guess I'm just shy that way!

jlworden710 I wish we had a Target with a grocery where I live, but I guess we're not big enough. I too bought wine with my tampons and pregnancy tests! I think I'm going to have to get braver when it comes to checking out ... it would be kinda fun to mess with teenage boys!

I am besidemyselfexcited to go get a Costco membership today! Shopping list be damned, I am gonna buy ALL THE THINGS! You know, the Costco crap you don't need but buy in bulk anyway like chimichangas and bed sheets. How do they make warehouse shopping feel so sexy?

I just love you even more after that post.

  • I was just making my Costco list! @qanda2013 did you know that if you buy the premium membership ($100) you get like 2% back at the end of the year? If you don't at least make the difference from the regular membership they will reimburse you. It's totally worth it if you shop there a lot or plan to make a bigger purchase.

I buy a lot of my meats from Costco like organic chicken, organic ground beef, steaks, and love their crab legs. I also get a lot of quick and easy meals that I can throw together if we have a busy day. And basically anything else I can fit into my cart/pantry! :) I also shop at Trader Joes every week. Cheap food and cheap wine!

  • I've been loving Amazon prime for getting OPKs and pregnancy tests. I shop mostly at Target and Costco. I live in a small city so I am always running into people there that I know. I don't really want to start a discussion about what's in my cart so it's just easier to have some things delivered to my house.

  • We just got a Costco here... it's kind of far from me, but it's doable if Costco is that great. Is it really that much better than Sam's?

My shopping list??? Birthday party supplies, back to school things, tampons, pads (dammit I'm so tired of pads), and cheeto puffs. I am addicted to those things lately!

As for Costco - I don't have a membership, I go once a year on the free trial to bjs and do a massive stock up of non perishables. Toilet paper for months :D
