New: I really loved my Escape when I had it, and I regret trading it in. So I'll have to go with that. A new Ford Escape. Classic: Probably a '69 Camaro.
First concert? I've only ever been to one concert in my entire life. How lame is that? It wasn't even a real concert, really. The Temptations played at The Del Mar Fair a few years ago and we went and watched the show because we were already there. They sing, "I guess you'd say, what can make me feel this way? My girl, my girl. Talkin' 'bout my girl!"
What would your last meal be? If it could be anything, I'd pick one of my Mamaw's home cooked meals. Some good 'ole Tennessee food. Fried chicken, maybe a few chicken livers, real green beans cooked with onions and bacon, homemade mashed potatoes, and cornbread in her cast iron skillet. Oh, and her sweet tea.
Did you have a lovey or special toy as a kid? If you did do you still have it? I have a stuffed animal cat that my Aunt got me when I was just a few weeks old. I got RSV and had to go to the NICU, and that was a gift she brought me. I slept with that poor old cat until DS1 was born and I gave it to him. It's sitting on his bed as we speak. Here's a pic of DS1 and Tiger.
Most embarrassing moment? When DH and I started DTD, we would go to his house after everyone was asleep, sneak in, and get it on. One night while we were right in the middle of it, his Mom came in the room to check and see if he was in bed. We immediately froze when she walked in. She is as blind as a bat, especially in the dark, and so she gently reached out and TOUCHED MY LEG to feel around to make sure DH was in bed. It was awful. The next day she took us out to dinner to apologize, and proceeded to talk about it the entire time. We still laugh about it to this day.
Best and worst dates?Best? The first date DH and I ever went on. He took me to In-N-Out for my first time, and then Cold Stone afterwards. It was such a simple date, but we laughed and talked the entire time. It's one of my fondest memories.
Worst? With one of my ex's. He took me out to Karaoke and proceeded to get on stage and sing me "Whiskey Lullaby", and "God Bless The Broken Road". I was so embarrassed. It was my 8th grade year, and the kid thought we were going to get married or something.
What is your biggest phobia? I am deathly afraid of spiders. It's an uncontrollable fear.
Favorite band/musician? I really love music. All different kinds. My favorite depends on the mood I'm in. Damien Rice, Taylor Swift, Bobby V, Nirvana... the list goes on. I don't know if I can pick.
If you could pick only one place to travel to for the rest of your life, where would you go? Europe.
Shopping spree! Where are you heading? The Outlet Mall. They have everything there. And I will buy all of the things because I never ever buy anything for myself.
What's the nicest thing a friend has done for you? You've done for a friend? This is one that requires thought, because I want to truly answer it. Remind me if I don't get back to it.
If you could live in another era, which would it be and why? The 1940's always appeal to me. I love nearly everything about that time period.
Favorite movie? It would be really easy to pick "A Walk To Remember", "P.S. I Love You", or another sad chick flick. But I'll pick "Click". I love it because of the message. He gets so consumed in work, and lets the remote control and destroy is life with his family, and doesn't realize until it's too late. It always reminds me to take a look around at what is really important in my life.
Favorite Flower? Roses. I have hundreds of dried roses that DH has hand-picked for me over the years.
Dream experience? As in if I could dream of anything, what would it be? I'd love to dream of my loved ones that have passed away. Just a nice, long, simple conversation with them as we sit on the front porch, on a warm summer evening.
Dream House? My dream house is a two-story home, with a nice big front porch (perfect for drinking coffee in the early mornings, and equally as perfect for sipping sweet tea in the afternoons). It would have a beautiful fenced backyard with a huge tree. DH would build a tree house for the boys, and a wing wold hang from its branches. I'd have a nice big kitchen with an island, a cozy family room, 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, and a huge garage.
What is your most embarassing moment? Answered somewhere above.
What is your proudest moment? Aside from giving birth to my boys, it has been just recently when I realized that I CAN take care of my boys while DH is away. I have been faced with something super challenging and scary, and I've embraced it with all that I've got in me. I'm very proud of myself for it.
Who would your celebrity BFF be and why?Andrea Rosen from NickMom. Her show is, "Take Me To Your Mother." She is funny, caring, sweet, and she loves her babies so much.
Favorite book? Oh, The Places You'll Go by Dr Seuss
All people and animals are safe, but there is a fire at your house, what do you run back in to save? My laptop because it has all of my pictures on it so I could reprint them. And DS1's favorite toy. I'd want him to feel comfortable in such an awful time, and having his favorite toy would do that for him. And as long as LO is nursing, if he has boobies, then all is perfect in his little world.
What are you excited to teach/share with LO as he grows? That family is really the most important thing in the world. No matter where he finds himself in 10, 20, 40+ years, I want him and DS1 to know that his family is always right beside him. I don't really have that with my family, so it is very important to me that they know their family is always there for them.
Favorite touristy thing to do in your area? Hmmm? It depends on the time of year. The Del Mar Fair is so much fun, I live about 10 minutes away from La Jolla Beach and Windansea Beach and it is our absolute favorite beach, Old Town (where the Wailey house is) is also a great place, but it's tied to a time in my past that I'd rather not remember, so we don't go there anymore.
Would you prefer to go to an outdoor festival or a black tie gala? (Explain) An outdoor festival because I feel like it would be more laid back. I could wear my favorite pair of jeans or shorts, and a T-shirt and still feel like a million bucks.
Pearls or gemstones? (Why?) Gemstones because I can get different ones to symbolize the people that I love in my life. Pearls are nice, but they just aren't "me".
If you could do anything and make money doing it what would it be? Drawing and painting. I've been drawing for as long as I can remember and I have such a passion for it. This is actually my dream.
Favorite Charity or cause? I've really invested myself in The Linzer family for the past few years. I invite you to read her blog (start from the very beginning) and it will explain where it all started. It's contains a lot of things that are hard to read, and many triggers about loss/actively losing a child, so please just take that warning before/if you check it out.
Favorite zoo animal? The Gorillas. I can stand there and watch them for hours. Seriously. They are so smart, and I love looking at their eyes and seeing their personalities shine through. Absolutely brilliant animals.
Favorite candle scent? I like fruity smells except for around Christmas. Then my answer would be cinnamon apple.
A cause you are passionate about? I answered this somewhere above.
Any special meanings behind your kids names? Yes. DS1's name is biblical and has a meaning along the lines of "first born son". Also, a significant color reference. Sorry to be so vague, but it's not easy to explain the significance behind his name. LO's name (put together) means a merciful and generous soldier... A fair-haired hero. It has deep significance and he is truly living up to his name. We couldn't have picked a better name for him.
What superpower would you like to have?Teleportation. This would be so great.
If you could meet anyone famous, dead or alive, who'd it be and why? David Blaine because he is freaking crazy. I want to know if he is the real deal or not.
Okay, I thought about this one...
The nicest thing a friend has done for me was naming her daughter after me. :x
Nicest thing I've done for a friend? I don't know why I'm lost with this question. I'm a very nice person by nature, so I feel as though I do a lot of nice little things for my friends all the time. A small deed could have a huge impact on my friend, and I'd probably never know how much it really meant to that friend because that's not for me to determine. So while I'm sitting here racking my brain thinking of extravagant things, the nicest thing could quite possibly have been a simple phone call, or sending a card. Does that make sense? Or is it just a bunch of word vomit?
I'm fairly certain you've answered these is responses from your own asking but:
Favorite Disney movie and why Beauty and the Beast because she is able to see past the Beast's rough image and see him for who he truly is inside. When no one else could see the goodness in him, she was able to not only see it, but fall in love with him for who he was. It's kind of like the story of my lyfe!
Nicest thing you've witnessed My DH was a pro BMX racer for 7+ years and was sponsored by a ton of companies. One of those happened to be a bike company and he received all of his racing bikes and parts for free. During his time racing, he had one bike that was his absolute favorite and held a lot of sentimental value for him. Since "retiring" he has kept this bike as one of his most prized possessions. One day my little brother was talking to DH about how much he loved my DH's racing bike, and how he knew he could never save up enough allowance to buy one. ($10,000+). My DH thought about it, and surprised him by giving him the bike! It was the nicest thing ever.
Favorite joke What do you get when you mix a brown chicken with a brown cow?
Brown-chicken-brown-cow! (Said like bwow-chicka-bwow-wow. It's better when you hear it in person.)
Favorite quote I am an absolute quote junkie. I "collect" them by writing them down on a notebook. I must have thousands, really. I can pull a quote out of my head for just about any situation. It's hard to pick a favorite, but right now it would probably be, "Life isn't about getting out of the storm, it's about learning to dance in the rain."
Look to your right. What do you see? LO's dresser with folded towels on top that I've neglected to put away.

When no one else could see the goodness in him, she was able to not only see it, but fall in love with him for who he was. It's kind of like the story of my lyfe!
Fondest memory of your mom growing up? The fondest memory of my Mom would probably be the way she was so happy when she was still married to my Dad. You could just feel the love radiating off of her, and her infectious happiness made her so beautiful to me. My mom is now remarried and that spark is no longer in her. It's something that I often deeply miss.
What do you want your boys to remember most about you from their childhood? I want them to look back and remember me being fun, happy, and full of love for them.
If you had a million dollars, what would you do with it? I'd buy myself a new car, DH a new truck, pay off all of our bills, buy a house (nothing fancy, something modest like we would have purchased anyways), buy my boys something cool like a huge play set for the back yard, then I'd put the rest in savings (college and such).
Sorry I missed this! No on asked yet so with whom on F14 would you:
Go on a wine tasting trip? I'd go with you (@golfergirl08). I know nothing about wine so it would be an interesting trip for me.
Cook a feast?@codypup because I know she will have a grill and chicken! And also @inluv4life2 because we need her double oven. And if she never got it, then this would be a really valid reason for her to HAVE TO! Win-win. All of F14 is invited. Being allllll the food!
Play a game of flag football? I don't know who I would play against. I will obviously have to have @braggyphi on my team because no one else here was running a 5k at 2 weeks pp. Get it together, ladies.
Hey lady! I'm dying to know what you feel the best and worst thing about SoCal. Best thing would have to be the beaches. I really love the beach and I'm so blessed to live here. The worst thing? It's so busy. There isn't eve a hint of a "small town feel" here anywhere. In Tennessee, you almost feel connected to everyone. Like they are some part of extended family. It's hard to explain. I miss the simplicity of country living. San Diego is the polar opposite and sometimes I want it to slow down around here.
Where can you find the best burger in the USA? On my DH's BBQ. For an actual place I'd have to pick In-N-Out. I know there's better places out there, but I just haven't been to very many burger places. Either DH grills them (his are the best), or we go to In-N-Out.
What color nail polish best suits you and is it on finger, toes or both? I have three go-to colors. And I only rarely paint my nails because it chips quickly. I'm always washing dishes, or giving baths. These pics are from Google just to show the colors. I currently have on the turquoise color.
I didn't get the double oven! When I compared the other specs and reviews I decided to just go w the single after I had convinced DH to go w double. But the oven is huge so we can still cook a feast! Come on over!!
I hope to create a real siggy but first I need some sleep!
I know I voiced a UO about this (yesterday?), but I think you should nominate/pass the torch @JA82406 , so we can liven things up around here <:-P
Sorry! Busy morning. I meant to nominate before I left this morning but I was running late. I just got out of a meeting and got settled back at home. Whew!
I went back to see who has already done an AMA and I think I'd like to nominate @CD7211. Forgive me if you've already done one. I have a runner-up just in case.

You are only about 30 minutes away from me. I'm hungry and on my way!
@golfergirl08 and I were talking about an SD GTG. Interested?
If you could be any animal for a day, which and why? A gorilla! They are so interesting to me! (See zoo answer.) or an owl. Owls have sentimental meaning to me so it's a hard one to explain.

Re: AMA- JA82406
What's the worst movie you've ever seen?
If you could take over the body of a celebrity for a day, who would you be?
Fondest memory of your mom growing up? What do you want your boys to remember most about you from their childhood?
If you had a million dollars, what would you do with it?
Eta for clarification
Where can you find the best burger in the USA?
What color nail polish best suits you and is it on finger, toes or both?
Mom to Lily and Colin!
