Hey, twin moms-to-be! Hope you all had a great weekend!
Just a few quick notes: I've updated the OP with # of weeks pregnant (figured this was better than due date for MoMs) and I will just update that every week. Please let me know if your details are incorrect so I can fix them. If you don't see your name down here and would like to be added, please let me know!
How are you feeling? Anyone doing anything fun in the final months of summer? Any appointment updates? Things you'd like to AW or vent about?
...and a random GTKY question...
Do you have names for your LO's yet? How did you decide them?
@morrkim - 24 weeks - Team Blue - Glad your boys are measuring good and congrats on reaching the V-day milestone!
@ktibbits1 - 23 weeks - Team Purple - That is so awesome your DH could feel the babies! And totally rock that bikini, girl!
@lisalynnmama - 23 weeks - Team Pink - I'm so sorry you're not feeling well. That all sucks! How was your shower?
@yess0311 - 23 weeks - Team Purple - How did your MFM appointment go? Any movement yet?
@CPM13 - 23 weeks - Team Green - No worries - at 19 weeks I was measuring 26. I think it's normal. Any guesses/intuition on the sexes of your babies? Are you finding it easy to stay Team Green or do you really want to know?
@zamboni00 - 23 weeks - Team Purple - 38 weeks is my "do not exceed" date, too.
@erinwithtwins - 23 weeks - Team Blue - So excited you got your good amnio results and get to share the good news. I don't think it's weird to have a shower on Labor Day. Would be weirder if you were due that day, though.
@IntuitiveBlue - 23 weeks - Team Purple -
@MrsC430 - 22 weeks - Team Pink - Lots of appointments for you last week! Hopefully everything is going good? How is the BP?
@Amandakea15 - 22 weeks - Team Purple - Sorry to hear your back and hips are hurting.
@KimmieS1756 - 21 weeks - Team Blue - FX'd your cervix stays strong and Bodhi and Grayson cooperate at their next appointment.
@MsMolly520 - 21 weeks - Team Blue - Yay for a good MFM appt. and healthy babies! Sorry you are stressing about PTL. I know it's scary and something on the mind of most MoMs. I think we just have to take it day by day and hope for the best. Celebrate each day these babies stay cooking!
@tiersa_smith - 21 weeks - Team Green (until Aug. babyshower) - August is just around the corner! Any intuition/guesses on the sexes of your babies? How are you holding out being Team Green.
@absolutelymaybe - 21 weeks - Team Purple
@missvolvo - 21 weeks - Team Blue - Sorry you are struggling with names. Any ideas? Will you be sharing them before they are born or keeping them a secret?
@amberej - ? weeks - Team Purple -

Re: Nov. Twins+ Check In (7/21)
How are you feeling? Anyone doing anything fun in the final months of summer? Any appointment updates? Things you'd like to AW or vent about?
This Saturday was DH and my six-year wedding anniversary. We were pretty low key, though. We went to dinner at went to see 22 Jump Street at the cinema (and were in bed by 9:30 p.m. LOL), which apparently I really needed my sleep or something because I slept a total of 16 hours on Sunday. I mean, seriously? I woke up around noon, at a PB&J and went back to bed until dinner. I know I can't bank sleep to use after the babies arrive, but I am sure as hell going to enjoy it while I still can and not feel guilty.
I'm feeling pretty good. The Pepcid seems to be taking care of the indigestion. The only thing new that's popped up is some pretty unfortunate pain in my right knee. Not surprising, it's the knee that was giving me trouble while running last summer/fall and 30+ extra lb is no doubt causing it to flair up again. I'm gimping around best as I can and trying to keep my feet up and rested. Really really hope I don't have to use a knee brace.
Do you have names for your LO's yet? How did you decide them?
Yes. We are going with Wilhelmina "Willa" Suzanne for Baby A (our girl) and Ari Jose for Baby B (our boy). 100% on the first names. Probably 90% on the middle names. I'm close to my mom so I wanted to use a form of her name (Suzanne) as the girl's middle name. I thought Willa Sue would be cute...UNFORTUNATELY our last name rhymes with Sue. Yeah, not happening. I'm thinking Suzanne is the best version to use. As for Ari, Jose is DH's middle name and his father's first name. DH was hesitant to use it at first because he felt like he got made fun of because of it growing up, but I think he's seeing how excited his dad is to be a grandpa again and none of the kids have passed on the name, so I see him going with that.

How are you feeling? Any appointment updates?
I'm feeling well overall, much more energy and no nausea. I am having a lot of numbness in my hands and sometimes in the mornings it hurts to be able to flatten my hand out all the way. I'm going to see my primary care doctor tomorrow and hopefully he can recommend something to help. I'm a dental hygienist so numbness in my hands is especially troublesome to me. I was planning on working until the end of August so I'd really like to make it to that point!
Anyone doing anything fun in the final months of summer?
This weekend I'm going home for my baby shower, then in two weeks we're moving into a new apartment and then a week after that we have friends coming to visit for a long weekend.
Any appointment updates?
My next ultrasound is next Tuesday, which also happens to be my birthday, can't think of a better gift than to see my little ones! Then next Friday meeting with my OB and she said we'll be discussing pediatricians, classes, etc., makes me feel like this is really moving along!
Do you have names for your LO's yet? How did you decide them?
For our son we've chosen Miles Vincent, Miles was one of the few names we both liked and Vincent after his favorite uncle. Our daughter will be Sadie Grace, DH's grandmother was Elsadie and my mom wanted Grace for me or one of my sisters but my dad always vetoed it, so she'll be happy
I'm definitely starting to slow down a bit. Feeling a lot more pressure in my pelvis and also feel like I'm being kicked in the vag a bunch. Ultrasound on Friday showed one head down one breech so maybe that's the cause. Anyone else feeling this?
Having fun this summer but staying close to home. I'm starting to get stuff for the babies together. Bought mamaroos cheap off the MoMs group board and bought new in box high chairs at Habitat for Humanity for 75% less. Still don't have any of the useful stuff (cribs, diapers etc) yet. Going to work on my registry today. Shower will be on Labor Day so I need to get on it.
Appointment updates
Have the GD test next Monday with the gross orange drink. Also have my anatomy scan next Wednesday. Looking forward to that one!
No names yet...
How are you feeling? Anyone doing anything fun in the final months of summer? Any appointment updates? Things you'd like to AW or vent about?
I'm feeling good, however I am noticing that I have to lay down a bit more after sitting up or standing for too long. No plans for summer really except for my baby Shower next month which I am working excitedly on! I'm going with a "Bowties" or Bows theme using Salmon and Aqua as colors. I wont be in on much of the decor or detail but there are a few things I would absolutely like to see so I'm prepping that for my sister. They really did a good job last time so I trust they will this go around. No appointment updates I have a next one coming in about 2 weeks to test that glucose and I hope I pass this time! Last time I ended up with gestational diabetes for 2 weeks. I am totally excited that at 21 weeks my babies finally started kicking to where i can feel them. Loving every minute of it!
Do you have names for your LO's yet? How did you decide them?
Girls- Lyric and Brooklyn (I like to say the adventures of Lyric and Brooklyn) .
Girl Boy- Brookyln & Karson (Karson still in review with my husband lol)
Boys- I have no idea....hope I don't have two boys lol
@tiersa_smith - 21 weeks - Team Green (until Aug. babyshower) - August is just around the corner! Any intuition/guesses on the sexes of your babies? How are you holding out being Team Green.
I started having some cramping & back pain last week (no bleeding) which freaked me out. Thankfully I had an U/S with MFM already scheduled. Both babies look great, measuring about a pound each. All was normal w/ my cervix & blood pressure too.
Great news, but both MFM & my regular OB recommended reducing my work hours (from 40 to 25) as a precaution. I'm a preschool teacher, so I'm constantly on my feet. I knew work reduction / bed rest was a possibility, but the reality of it is hitting me. Stressful stuff. What matters most is that our babies are healthy.
Do you have names for your LOs yet?
Yes. Baby A will be April. (April is both our dating and wedding anniversary month). Baby B will be Brianna. Still working on middle names - those will likely be simple family names.
Have a great week ladies!
It's twin girls!! Born on 11-2-14!
For starters, my shower was amazing. It ended up being fairly small, but people were so generous and it was so nice to focus on something fun for a while. It is seriously fun to see so many people excited about our girls.
How are you feeling? Anyone doing anything fun in the final months of summer? Any appointment updates? Things you'd like to AW or vent about?
Feeling okay this week but I am still SO tired. I do not think that is going to go away anytime soon, so I am just trying to deal with it. Our state fair starts August 1, so I am looking forward to visiting a few times to get my fill of yummy fair food (lemon shake-ups, funnel cakes, grilled corn on the cob, etc.). YUM! My vent is about my back. It hurts all the time now. Nothing seems to give me any relief and I am ready for that to be over. Bleh.
Do you have names for your LO's yet? How did you decide them?
We have had names for a while now. We chose names we just really liked. Our family does not have any traditions for naming babies, so we had free reign. We chose Ella Paige and Sadie Clare. I love them!
How are you feeling? Any appointment updates?
Feeling pretty good really. I'm not as tired as I was which is nice. Still it feels really good to just come home and lie down after working all day! My next appointment is on Thursday and it's a regular check. I have another growth and development ultrasound in a couple of weeks.
Anyone doing anything fun in the final months of summer?
In one week we are going to California for my brother's wedding and I am really looking forward to that because I haven't seen my parents in over a year. And this will likely be the only time I see my mom while I am pregnant.
Do you have names for your LO's yet? How did you decide them?
Still no names yet. We will get there!
Hot and tired! We have our 'babymoon' planned for next weekend- really it's a fundraiser we do every year, but it's on the Cape, so I'm pretending it counts
I have an u/s with the MFM scheduled for Friday morning, and an OB appointment on friday afternoon. Hopefully my BP is behaving!
Also- we interviewed 2 people today to cover me while I'm out on maternity leave. Yikes!
Do you have names for your LO's yet? How did you decide them?
Not really. I think we have a girls name, but clueless for our boy!
I am feeling very tired and still sore. Now a little sad. I went in for a check up today. Dr thinks I have preeclampsia we kinda expected it as a possibility but not this early. My ankles are swollen and I had protein in my dip stick urine. I went for blood work and I have to do a 24 hr urine. It is like my 4th one so I am expert. Just annoying. I am on modified bedrest. I have to stop working. I go back next Thursday for a f/u then on Friday I have my f/u u/s.
Looks like I will be spending my final weeks of summer in bed.
Oh names!!! Our biggest fight starter!!! We are pretty sure we are doing a JR. So William David... Girls name no clue we had a hard enough time with our last DD. We already have an Abigail and Autumn still undecided if we will have another "A" name.

It's twin girls!! Born on 11-2-14!
How are you feeling? I'm not feeling to bad. I started to see a chiropractor for the hip pain I've been having lately.
Any appointment updates? I will be having my glucose test in a couple weeks....yippie!
Things you'd like to AW or vent about? Baby A is measuring 18% bigger than baby B. They said if he gets 20% or higher then I will have to get some extra testing done. I'm not sure what all that will consist of at the moment, but keeping by fingers crossed he stays under 20%.
Do you have names for your LO's yet? No names yet, my husband and I can't agree on any, I have a feeling we won't be agreeing anytime soon!
