OBs/Midwives in Oahu

Hello all, I'm getting ready to move to Schofield Barracks in a few weeks. DH and I are NTNP (going to be actively TTC once we reach Schofield) so I am starting to look at clinics and hospitals in Oahu for future reference. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice to offer, good or bad. TIA!

Re: OBs/Midwives in Oahu

  • You'll most likely be going to Tripler Army Hospital. That's where most military (active or dependent) go for OB in the area. You may get lucky and they'll have an OB nurse or doctor come to Schofield. You'll still need to go to the Schofield's clinic until they determine you're pregnant and give you a referral to OB.

Just a heads up though parking is ridiculous at Tripler so best to have appts early in the morning.

  • @RuppAFWife‌ Thank you for the advice! After a lifetime of interesting experiences at military hospitals I try to avoid them whenever I can. I've been hearing good things about Tripler, though, so I guess I just have to wait and see what happens!
