Am I the only one who keeps the bathroom door closed all the time? LO is only allowed in there for diaper changes and bath time, all of which are obviously supervised activities. Is keeping the bathroom off limits going to backfire at some point?
Not only can E open doors, but our bathroom latch doesn't line up right and the for will open if you just push on it. We have been keeping the baby gate set up in the door frame, but my hips hurt so freaking bad and baby dropped, I can't step over it any more.
We have a toilet latch that holds the lid down, but someone forgot to latch it. So yes, ultimately it's my fault because I should have put my tooth brush away and not left it out. But, EWWW!
@DC2London Ahh. Your DS2 might be benefiting from having an older sibling? Mine isn't that smart...yet. I was planning on using those plastic door knob covers that grown ups can squeeze once we get to that point. We are the last ones in the family to have kids and a cousin passed a couple along to us. Would something like that work for you?

If you have older kids, especially potty training ones, they need quick access to the toilet.
@DC2London and @wifeofadam Opps. My FTM is showing, isn't it? Sounds like I've got lots of fun times ahead.
In all seriousness, I don't know how I would ever stay ahead of LO without this forum. Thank you both for your experienced and patient responses.
Hear, hear! We have the level handles throughout the house and DS can grab those no problem. I'm gonna have to invest in door latches soon.
Up until now, my baby proofing has been walking after him and yelling. I'm awesome.
Almost spit my coffee out. This is my method too, and its getting old!
