BPA on receipts

So, the cashier at Target yesterday said to me "don't let your baby touch the receipt, the coating has BPA." A quick google search reveals this seems to be correct- I never knew! I don't make a habit of it, but I have let LO crinkle a receipt once or twice to keep her occupied while I load up the car. Won't be doing that again!

    As does the lining of most canned foods, mason jar lids purchased before the last year or two, etc. There are a lot of things with small/trace amounts to look out for.

    I'd be more concerned about the plastic/PVC/vinyl kids play with and the food sources of chemicals than the receipt ;)
