can't stop POAS (child and losses mentioned)

A brief history:

My first pregnancy was a NTNP scenario which ended in a chemical at 4 weeks and 6 days. I had a successful pregnancy while TTC immediately on the next cycle. That BFP was on DPO #8 - because I was trying to prove to myself it was too early to test and I should stop stressing during the 2WW

I had another pregnancy last month with NTNP, which ended in a chemical at 4 weeks and 6 days. Then we started "officially" TTC. So naturally I'm hopeful that this one goes the same way, with a successful pregnancy on the very next cycle after the loss. Why wouldn't I POAS every day starting at DPO #8?

DH is like, "um, honey, why are are there so many negative pregnancy tests in the trashcan?" This is DPO #11.

POAS is an addiction! I think they need an intervention for some of us.

I always waited until 14DPO, but from 9DPO to 14DPO…I was literally chewing my nails off!

I can relate. It is taking all my will power not to POAS. The reason you described is why I am trying to hold off until Friday. I am not sure if I will make it, though. My resolve is crumbling. I am sorry your tests are coming back negative, but as they say, it's not over till it's over. You could still get a +, 11DPO doesn't knock you out of the running. FX for you!

Best wishes! for me when the temptation is too great I just go ahead and pee! I can handle and early negative... don't like it but I pretty much assume it will be negative prior to 12dpo anyway...

With my first pregnancy I had seen so many negatives before that cycle that I didn't test until 14DPO.

Then with my second pregnancy I decided to test the trigger out, and then just kept testing...got a BFP at 9DPO.

Every cycle since I start testing at 9DPO...and 4 cycles later have yet to repeat that, well I have yet to get pregnant again either. Today was 10DPO and I got a BFN. I am trying not to freak until 12DPO LOL.

I am totally with you today. I am 7dpo and really want to POAS even though I know it is way too early. I am trying to hold out till at least 10dpo but the wondfos are calling my name. I have a book to read, I am trying to learn to knit, ANYTHING to distract me. It still isn't really working.
