ok to wake question

What age do you think the ok to wake is good for? (The light you set and it turns green in the morning when it is okay to get out of bed.) If you have one, do you like it? Does it work?

Dd has been getting up at 4 or 4:30 every morning. She just wants to play for a couple hours and then she passes out around 6 or 6:30. I don't mind getting up early but 4 am is the middle of the night. I'm hoping the light would help. She's almost 18 months. Wdyt?

Yes. But it is also pitch black when she gets up. I don't know what is causing it either, no pets or anything to wake her up.

  • DS was 3 when we got his. He went through a 4 am phase too (twice actually) and it was brutal

  • Okay, thanks! I am ready to try anything. Did it work for your ds?

  • No input, but I retract my premeditated complaints about my 18 month-olds getting up at 6 all week....4 am wtf?? I hope whatever you do, you get some zzs soon!

  • I remember that phase as well now that you bring it up. I think that is when we got Ds his clock. He was maybe 2. As long as we are really consistant it works.

So, there are two different OK to Wake models. One appears to just have the light settings. The other is marketed as helping to teach how to tell time. Does anyone have the second one? I have only seen it online and the more basic one is all I've seen in stores.
Is everyone above just talking about the basic one?
