I've read it's due to growing and if baby is breech it can hurt more . Last two days I wake up so early because laying down just hurts I notice getting helps . Is anyone else experiencing lower growing pains and how consistent ?
The closer you get to 40 weeks the worse it will get. With my first by the time I hit 30 weeks I was sleeping in 3-4 hour increments. By the time I had my c-section at 39 weeks I was only sleeping 1-2 hours at a time. It did not matter how many pillows I used, what position. I just was so uncomfortable.
About 2 weeks ago I had awful pain like you described. I was 25 weeks. I thought no way can I deal with this another 15weeks. Luckily after buying a support band and extra time in the pool, it has mostly subsided. Now just the usual aches and pains annoy me at night/prevent me from sleeping in.
I have previous back issues but my back hips and sciatica pain has been terrible. I have tried many things but think I am just going to have to suffer through. Heat massage and gentle yoga helped for awhile but nothing has helped the past couple weeks. I am sleeping in about 3 hour increments just hit 28 weeks today. Going to see doctor on Wednesday so I am hopeful he can offer some solutions. Hope your pain gets better. Sorry I can't offer any advice. Feel better soon.
Have you ever seen an osteopath? They may be able to help you with the positioning of your pelvis. I've also been getting prenatal massages which really helped me with my hip pain. I was having hip pain quite early on, and finally got a massage at 20 weeks. Ever since my pain has been better at night- she really loosened my gluteal muscles which she thinks were causing a lot of the pain. My pelvis was also slightly out of alignment which she fixed. I've gone for 3 or 4 treatments now. I have a history of back issues (previous neck and low back injuries), but they haven't been bugging me- just my hips at night! Also stretching is SUPER helpful! I lie on my back with the soles of my feet together (like a butterfly) and get my husband to gently push my knees down side to side every night before bed.

I agree with pp on the osteopath and massage. Also, you can buy a foam roller for cheap at target or on amazon. If muscles are tight around your hips and pulling pelvis out of whack, the foam roller can help. Google hiw to use it on glutes and IT band/legs. Massage is awesome, but a more expensive option if your insurance won't cover it.
I've had terrible hip pain. I went to the chiropractor which definitely helped. He also recommended getting an exercise ball because sitting on it helps stretch those muscles. So far, I have soreness from the muscles stretching but I'm noticed I am more comfortable when sleeping. An added bonus is he said it also helps stretch your pelvic area.
The support band does help for activities that require standing/walking. At night, I sleep propped up, pillow under my knees (like in a reclined position) because side sleeping is so uncomfortable and painful. Best of luck!! Hope you figure out something that works!!
Ive been off work since 26weeks because of pelvic girdle pain, pain in pelvis, hips, lower back. It sucks. I see a physio whos given me a belt, might be worth asking your doctor for a referal. Pregnancy massage really help. But im on crutches now for out of the house so its better to catch it as early as possible as physios can do stuff to help i was a bit late and just tried to keep going. Good luck
