Blood Count Question

Really hoping I am flipping out over nothing.  Sarah and I came home today to discover her blood results came back from our Tuesday appointment and were waiting in the inbox of the "mychart" portal they use.  Upon opening it, almost everything came back fine...BUT her white blood cell count was slightly elevated at 11.8 and her Neutrophils at 8.9.  ANYBODY know anything about any of this???

I sent a follow up email to the doctor but would like to try to not worry all weekend long.  I swear, if it isn't one thing it is something else.  We had went and looked at nursery furniture today.  :/  Praying we aren't counting chickens before they hatch!  This whole baby thing is rough!  TTC-HARD, PREG-HARD, Preg w/ complications-HARDER, being a mom- I'm sure it is HARDEST!

10 medicated IUI's (3 with injectables).
IUI #1 (medicated) Jan. 2013-BFP!!!!- Beta's didn't double, MTX shot for possible ectopic.
8 IUI's between April 13-April 14 = BFN
IUI #10 and final before IVF, injectables May 2014- BFP!!!!  TWINS!!!!

7 week ultrasound showed 2 wonderful heartbeats!
8 weeks to the ER with vaginal bleeding while on vacations!  Diagnosed SubChorionic Hemorrhage.  Babies are both great.
9 week ultrasound showed both babies are still great.

Re: Blood Count Question

  • I also had an elevated white blood cell count and when I asked the doctor, they said that is normal during pregnancy. It just shows up as high because the "normal" range is based on non-pregnant women. Not sure about neutrophils but its probably the same.

  • I'm sorry things aren't going smoothly. We also had our share of complications in our journey and pregnancy. I remember when we got our bfp it went from worry about getting pregnant to how do we stay pregnant. I hope you hit smooth sailing soon:)
  • @ball.and.chain thank you for helping calm my nerves! My aunt used to be a nurse and I started with asking her and she had me flipped out (hasn't been a nurse in 20 yrs and worked for a cancer dr).

Then I googled (I know BACK AWAY from the google).

So then I came here...my safe place! :)
