Jealous of other Bumps!

I think I'm crazy but tonight I saw a picture of a girl I use to work with who is due 6 weeks after I am and I caught myself wondering why her bump is so much cuter than mine... Hopefully soon my blump (lumpy bump) will get cuter :-<

Re: Jealous of other Bumps!

  • Bumps are wonderful reminders of the life growing in us, but mine(not too big yet)is starting to get into my way at work lol.
  • Loading the player...
  • When I tell people my due date I get the same looks of "OMG, you're huge for XX weeks!" or the jokes about twins. It gets old but I try to keep a "screw them" mentality. Lol. It works most of the time.
  • Bigger bumps always seem cuter I know what you mean this is my 2nd and I have been showing since 12 weeks and now I'm huge. Your smaller bump will grow!

I second this! I'm already sick of the "are you having twins" "you're due in DECEMBER?!" and the "are you sure they have your due date right?" comments.
A lady ringing me up at H&M asked me when I was due, said really?!, and then asked if I was "really that big at 5 months." Fuck you, lady.
Alot of people think December is so far away but in reality, we are already halfway to December!!

  • My bump is getting in the way of putting on shoes, shaving my legs, putting DS into his crib, and just the past couple of days I've noticed I have to sit further out from my desk or my LO gives me lots of kicks to remind me I'm squishing him. I miss the days of the small bump already!

  • I have also been showing since about 12 weeks and always get comments like, "wow, that's gonna be a big baby." I got the same comments with my first baby when I was pregnant and he was only 6lbs 14 oz and born a day before due date. Everyone's body's are different. I just wish people would be more minded when making comments to preggos about our bellies.
  • I started showing my little baby bump at 12 weeks and people knew I was pregnant even before I had the change to announce it. I'm 17 weeks tomorrow and since yesterday I've developed the pregnant waddle. This is my second pregnancy and for my first I didn't show until I was at least 7 months in. I am so big my feet start hurting me after a few hours of walking around. It's horrible. I feel so uncomfortable all the time. At work I have a girl that shares the same due date only this is her first and sometimes I am a bit envious she is able to hide her bump. I totally embrace my bump I just wish it didn't come with constant feet swelling and back pain. I do believe though that every pregnancy is different but hopefully I don't deliver a 10 lb baby in December! Lol.
  • I pretty much have no bump.  When I tell people I am pregnant they think I'm newly preg,  I am wearing my normal jeans and everything. After I eat I just look fat not pregnant so yeah I'm ready to go from looking a little fat to having an actual bump.

Yesterday we were at a party (I didn't tell them I was preg) and there was a girl there who was preg.  I said to her husband so you excited about the baby coming. Hes like yeah its coming in December....WHAT? She was clearly preg and had a cute bump and I have nothing. Crazy

    All Welcome
  • I've been showing since 9 weeks and I'm a ftm. I feel huge and have serious pain in my back and feet. I've gained 12 pounds and I'm 18w3d but when I look at my friends due in September and October I get really self conscious because they have the tiny bodies with the movie scene belly bump. I'm already bigger than them. It makes me cry a little bit cause if I look this big already what will I look like at 40 weeks. I have the waddle going too. Ugh

Amen! It's so annoying! Do people think that will make us feel good? I've also only gained about 8 lbs so I'm really not sure why my bump looks like a 7 month bump!
That's me too! Only 6 lbs and people think I'm about 30 weeks - so weird!

I get this a lot too! Obnoxious and annoying...

But rest assure, before you know it,there will be a bump, it is like it shows over night:)
  • I just look fat! Still wearing regular clothes. Wondering when I will have a nice bump!! It takes me a little longer to get my business open than it used to. I want to look preg, so people think "oh, she's pregnant. We can be patient." Not "would chubs move a little quicker!"

I know sick of wow not till dec? You have a long way to go!
  • I have a long torso (and stumpy legs) so there's a ton of room for baby to stretch out vertically. I have a belly pic from the day I had my son and I don't look more than 6 or 7 months pregnant. It would be nice to have a cute bump now, but it's really nice to not feel like you're going to fall over at 9 months!
  • The bump seriously sneaks up on you! I was feeling the same way and now I wish I enjoyed not having a tummy. Getting up out of chairs/ the floor is already difficult!
