TTC and wondering

I'm 28 and I'm TTC baby No. 1 with my husband of 5 years and was wondering how fast it has happened for people my age on their first? Did they do something special if they conceived quickly or is this a giant crap shoot?

Other people's experiences will have no bearing on your own. I started around the same time and my DD was born when I was 31. It took a year with 1 loss in the middle. I have a friend who walks past her husband and is immediately pregnant.

As stated above, read the Newbie Blog, spend time here, ask questions, lend support and you will go far - hopefully not too far as we never like to see anyone stay too long

I was 28 when we started and conceived for the first time during my 7th cycle (I was 29 by then), which is a totally normal amount of time. I do think that part of the reason we got lucky that cycle was very good timing. It really can take up to a year for a completely healthy couple to conceive, I recommend looking around on here at some of the BFP stories. We've had some 1 month-ers recently, but what helped me a lot when we were first trying was that there've always been a lot of women here who get KU right around the year mark.

TL,DR: Work on your timing and be patient.
