Mirena strings

I got a mirena put in at 6 weeks pp. I waited to brave sex until 10 weeks pp because I had a rough recovery and I swear my vag had PTSD. Anyway....my husband said he could feel the strings and it was scratching him!? We are going to give it a go again soon ( it wasn't exactly pain free last time) and I'm wondering if it was just a floor or will happen every time. The doctor let me feel them and I didn't think that could hurt at all, they were link fishing line.

My doctor said if I could feel them or if DH could to call and she'll make them shorter. So I would call your doctor.

They can be trimmed. Certain angles are better than others, but they'll always be there

My midwife said they will soften and move up out of the way soon.

I got mirena after dd1 and had it the whole 5 years. My strings were cut too short and DH always said the same thing. And if I sat wrong i could feel them poking me.
