IKEA furniture (couches/chairs) good quality?

We're in the market for a new couch. Specifically a sectional type couch. Right now we have a love seat/sofa combo and there is a lot of wasted space with this set up in a corner. Looking to spend $2000 or less.

We have an IKEA 1.5 hrs away. Just wondering if its worth the trip. Know we like some of their furniture.

I freakin love my Ektorp set (we have a couch and chair). It's held up beautifully and changing slip cover was easy. It's not super cheap, but well worth what we paid 8 years later.

We have the Karlstad couch and loveseat and love it. We've had them for 3 or 4 years (I can't remember). The best thing is being able to wash the cushion covers.

eta: Oh and if you decide in a year or two you want a new color all you have to do is replace the covers.

I ordered our big sectional online from The Classy Home for under $1000. It's super comfy and has held up well for the 3+ years we've had it. They carry some of the of the same ones at Ashley furniture so we could see it in person first. A bonus of ordering online was no tax.

I got a couch there for $300. Granted, that was like 8 years ago, but still. It's not the greatest, but I still have it and it works.

Our sofa is from West Elm. They have a furniture sale (20% off!) a couple of times a year . It has held up really well and is super easy to clean-- we got the performance velvet fabric .
