High-Risk Pregnancy

slight cramping

Iam just 6wks today. I have been having slight cramps on my right abdominal side. Same spot where I was having cramps before and after my miscarriage (which was almost 3 months ago). Should I be concerned?

Re: slight cramping

  • I would be. I had five miscarriages and any cramps send warning bells though this time cramps have been due to a hemorrhage and other time due to cysts. Some cramps are normal but w history be careful.

  • I had lots of cramping with all of my pregnancies... it always makes me nervous! I also spotted with every pregnancy. I think at 6 weeks it's such a wait and see thing, you just take 1 day at a time. Call your OB if you're really worried, have bleeding, or the pain is severe. Otherwise try to keep yourself busy and know there's very little you can do but give things time.

I had cramps on my right side and spotting too. I ended up having placenta previa but other than that I'm fine (31 wks today!). My doc said cramps early on are normal as long as you don't bleed enough to soak a pad. So try to relax and enjoy this exciting time!
  • Just an update: Everything so far has been going great, Im 21 weeks.

  • I'm on the same boat. I have menstrual like cramps than other days I have a little bit more than menstrual cramp pains. I miscarried around September. I should be 5 weeks pregnant based off my lmp.. I have low hcg levels of 180 as said by the doctors. I'm worried about miscarrying again, any help or advice?
