@rocknrollfriend

How did you figure out W was MSPI? I've cut out all dairy because that gave J terrible gas. I have foremilk/hind milk imbalance issues, but I thought they were licked until he started having green poops just this week. Could it be the soy I switched to?

Re: @rocknrollfriend

  • I also had oversupply, so I worked on correcting that while cutting dairy. The dairy proteins can take 3 to 5 weeks to leave both your systems, so once I was sure that I'd given that plenty of time, and the oversupply was corrected, he was still having green poops and I decided (with our pedi) I must need to cut soy too. Are you sure you've cut all hidden dairy? There are a lot of sneaky ingredients out there that can be derived from dairy, and even those trace amounts can bother a MSPI LO. I can send you a link of hidden dairy ingredients if you need it. How long ago did you cut the dairy?

  • Can you send me the list? It's been three weeks since I cut dairy.

    My parents are vegan so my mom has been helping me read labels, but your list will be a good resource, too. I'm going to keep note of green poop days and discuss with pedi at our 2 mo on 8/8.

    In the past week, we've had 3 green poop days out of 7. Were the green poops consistent or intermittent? Really appreciate your help and advice on this!

    There you go, I hope it works since I'm mobile.
    As we went through the elimination phase the green poop became more intermittent, so that is probably a good sign.
    Pedi will probably suggest hypoallergenic formula as a solution if you're still having issues, but that is not usually necessary (or desirable, IMO). Let me know if you have any more questions!
  • Thanks @mrscjmb9410‌! I didn't realize you were MSPI, too!

    Poops are back to yellow today. This is so frustrating! Is it my oversupply? Is it dairy? Is it soy? Ugh...
  • @rocknrollfriend‌ believe it or not, pedi is super pro breast feeding and switching to formula isn't a part of our conversation. It's helpful that she is so supportive, too.
