DD2 and I are being treated for thrush right now. Her Nyastatin susp and cream and me Diflucan. Can I freeze the milk I pump now? Will the cold kill the yeast? If not will we just get thrush again when she drinks it? I go back to work soon and am trying to build a stash but don't want it to all be for nothing.

Re: Thrush and freezing milk
Oh no
Milk frozen during thrush treatment can be given to baby without a problem while you are still being treating for thrush.
Many sources recommend that mothers do not freeze expressed milk for later use when they are being treated for thrush. We do know that freezing deactivates yeast, but does not kill it (Rosa 1990), so there is a theoretical risk that milk expressed during a thrush outbreak could reinfect baby at a later date.
