This my first cycle off BC, and the first cycle off for me generally lasts about 47-49 days, but that is not always the case. I bought a bbt a few weeks ago as well as some OPKs but haven't been temping because I'm lazy.
I am now on day 48, and I don't think I'm getting my period tomorrow. HPT today was negative. By my calculations, this means there's no possible way I ovulated before day 33, and the OPKs I took until day 41 would suggest I did not ovulate then either. (Although I only tested every 24 hours, so I may have missed it).
I am so mad at myself for not temping, but is it worth it to start now? I hear that day 60 is magic number to call doctor, but what if I ovulate on day 61? I'd rather not artificially start my cycle over if ovulation is near. Would it make sense to temp starting at day 49 or should I just chalk this cycle up to a loss?
Re: Is it worth it to start temping now?
I guess what I'm getting at is, if I start temping and charting tomorrow at day 50, and ovulate at day 65, for example, will FF be able to confirm ovulation, or is the fact that I have 49 prior days of no data going to make charting this cycle invalid?
