  With my first I woke up around 10am with cramps that turned out to be early labor. With my second I was awakened by intense contractions around 4:30 am.

  Water started leaking @ 9:30pm.I had contractions starting around 10 as I headed into the hospital per ob request. (Was my due date anyway. Wasn't too concerned) I delivered her @ 3:59pm. I can't believe I remember that exact number..

  I think I remember reading somewhere that many mothers experience the beginnings of labor overnight or in the morning because it's when they are most relaxed, have been resting, less stressed, etc.

  First noticed leaking amniotic fluid at 3pm 12/31. Checked in at 5pm 12/31 and induced. Nothing happened on pitocin, was balloon dilated at 2pm 1/1. DS came out 11:47pm 1/1.

  I started early labour sometime in the middle of the night. I didn't really believe it was labour until the morning. My water broke around 2pm and he was born early evening.

  Started painful labour at 11:30pm... Pushing by 3:00am. Delivery at 4:20am.
  
  Second baby was an induction at 11:00am, so that doesn't help.
