Ovulation

So this week is the week I should be ovulating however I used the ovulation "pee" sticks and they were negative but I def notice a change in my cervical fluid this week....hope this isn't tmi just wondering if anybody else has experienced anything like this.

I also use OPKs for IUI instead of a trigger. Ultrasound monitoring is important to count follies for safety, and also let us know I had a thin lining so I could start Estrace, but I just waited for a positive OPK to schedule the IUI.

The fertile mucous is a great clue, but it actually tends to dry up right before ovulation - it's like the thing that happens ahead of ovulation, so it can help us keep an eye out for O.

If you're having fertile mucous, I wouldn't worry that you've missed O yet. If you haven't had an ultrasound in a couple/few days, I would say one is definitely due. That can give an idea if you're close (and if you are actually using a trigger, you don't want to wait for you positive OPK).

Also, maybe check with your nurse about how to use the OPKs to make sure you don't miss O. They can be tricky and it's possible to miss the positive.
