Acne after weaning?

I stopped BF DD (2 1/2yo) about three months ago, and I've been getting these huge zits on my cheeks! I've always had perfect skin and I hate them! :P
I'm just assuming it's the hormones from weaning, but 'm not sure. Has anyone gone through this when weaning?

    I didn't get acne BUT I had a huge hormonal let down when DS went on a nursing strike at 18 months. He stopped cold turkey (resumed a week later) and I was a hormonal mess. It really effects our bodies/minds!
