  • I haven't started actual exercising, I walk and do errands and such. I go to the dr on the 28th and I planned on talking to her about what I should be doing then.

  • 7 weeks, right after my doc cleared me, whenever I have time.

  • I walk daily. No sit-ups or ab work yet, but me working out hinges more on my LO and me finding the time.

  • I started after my 6 weeks check up. My incision is still tender to the touch but I have done some cardio (light jogging) with no pain.

Ex...er....cize? Does keeping up with my toddler count?

Today I wore my 3 year old through half of Target, then wrangled him through the other half while simultaneously wearing/nursing DS2. Does that count? Because I was exhausted after.

  • 6 weeks pp. We own a strength based gym, so my work out is a little different. But on my first day I did bench, arm accessories, pushed the prowler and attempted sit ups (hurt like a b*tch!)

The second day back I did kettle bell squats, leg accessories, lunges, and abs and the prowler. Sit ups were almost 100% better.

Now,12 weeks pp, I'm pretty much back to normal.

  • I was taking short walks around the block by 3 weeks but waited till 6 weeks to start real workouts even though my OB cleared me for everything but "serious ab work" at 4.

  • I worked out all through the week before my pregnancy so am antsy to get back to the gym but my midwife told me to wait 6 months for my full workout (which is also the she my gym will take my little one). So for now she said take it light - walking, pelvic tilts.. I am sneaking in light arm weightlifting though. So I say, take it slow, don't over do it, & listen to your body. You just went through surgery after all. PS I am 8wks pp.
  • I walk and have been since maybe 1wk PP (when it's not too insanely hot). I did a yoga workout Sunday that was great. I miss running and want to do couch to 5k again, but my feet are now too long for my running shoes. At almost 12 wks PP, maybe I need to give up hope that they'll fit again.

  • I'm 9wks pp and I've been walking. And I play with toddlers for my job. So right now that's my exercise. However I want to start couch to 5k, hoping that will tighten up my core a little.

I started with walks at 3 weeks pp...was given the ok to work out at 7 w and started with Lindsay brynns post partum boot camp but now at 9 weeks I'm just finishing my first week of t25 by beach body. I'm careful and do most of the modified moves especially if it's ab related. I gave to admit I've been decently sore in my incision after too much core focus so I'm just keeping an eye on that and will increase intensity as time goes on :)

  • I started running again around 6/7 weeks pp but I wore support around my abdomen each time until just about a week ago. I'm 11 weeks pp now and feeling totally back to normal. Just started working my abs on the exercise ball too. My OB told me just test my limits and listen to my body when he cleared me at 6 weeks.

  • Thanks ladies : ) not that i even want to work out but need to start soon... Le sigh!
  • @meli1025‌ what kind of band? My low abs feel Soooo week
  • @EmilyGolden1‌ , sorry for the late reply. It's this neoprene thing that feels almost like a wet suit and zips up the side. It's not meant to be support, it's really meant to help you lose weight in your abs/hips/thighs (my problem area) by making you sweat more. It just so happens to provide the perfect support in the abdomen so that the incision doesn't hurt during your workout. I can't remember where I even got them but they are high waist and cover my thighs. I will check out the brand tomorrow and let you know.
