Fucking Friday

There's no bad thing post for Fridays...and I need to vent.

I just lit the grill on fire.  Like, black smoke billowing out of it and charring my deck.  C wouldn't stay on the lawn, so I wasn't about to open it up with her right next to it, just in case.  I ended up spying my neighbor in his yard and called out.  He came over and rescued me.  Turns out that we really should have remembered to clean the pan out, as that's what caught on fire.  He turned it all off and let it burn off.  I called DH to warn him, he thought it was funny.  I should just not be left alone.  Charlie ended up getting way over stimulated, but by then C was back in her kiddie pool and wouldn't get out long enough for me to get a blanket to swaddle him in, so I ended up using a towel and now I'm worried he'll over heat.  Sigh. 

Also, my toddler has cradle cap.  Not my newborn, my toddler.  I have to use head and shoulders three times a week and massage in olive oil.  Because she'll sit still long enough to let me do that.  Oy.

    Hubs leaves for 2 weeks tomorrow morning. Like @KrystaJ‌ my LO is in her first leap so is more needy than usual. But the biggest bitch is my right boob! There's a pretty large hard sore section. I've nursed multiple times which usually takes care of those but it didn't. Did the shower, no real help and have pumped and it's still bothering me. I just had to pop one of my 800mg ibuprofen to see if that will take the edge off until I can pump again.
    Owie, Owie, Owie, just please make it stop :((

    @KrystaJ‌ my mom and grandma said the same thing to me today about spoiling B when I said he won't let me put him down. even though he's 8 weeks, he's 5 weeks adjusted and in the heart of the first leap also. they didn't believe me so I showed them the app. they still said he was spoiled and to put him down, so I did. the second I took my hands off him he screamed bloody murder. they finally believed me but it took me upsetting my child. I never should have put him down.

    My mom keeps telling me I am spoiling my three and a half week old by doing that. I don't have that leaps app, but it sounds like he's in a spurt too. He screams when I'm not holding him, and is constantly in the boob. Plus he's congested and hoarse so I'm gonna snuggle him all day, thanks.

    I'm so glad for this thread today.
    My MIL made me so mad this morning I cried. Yesterday DH went out of town for the day with her to see DH's brother who is in prison(long story). DH was supposed to be back by six because some of his friends were coming over to meet LO (who I've only met once). Well MIL was late picking DH up yesterday morning, which put the whole day behind and then takes her sweet ass time all day and insists they stop for food so DH and I had to cancel our evening plans. Then this morning she insisted DH come to the mechanic shop with her to hear what they want to do her car. DH rode the 30 minutes out there for MIL to tell the auto body tech she is getting a second opinion, DH didn't do anything. Finally, she is insisting DH come over and help her clean out her spare bedroom so LO has a room at her house. First off she is a shopaholic and I just want to tell her, you bought that crap deal with it yourself. Second it will be a long time until LO comes to stay at your house without us. She is just so self-centered and wants to have control over everything!
    Grrrr...

    @otter1103‌ I had a clog the other night and it hurts like a mofo! What finally worked for me was a cold compress between pumping sessions(I'm EPing right now) and then a warm compress and massage while pumping. I hope you feel better soon!

    DD has pink eye and it has been so hard to keep her away from her brother. 22 more hours until she isn't contagious any more. 22 more hours...

    It's 9pm and we have to be up at 8am to start moving everything out of the apartment. We still have hours of packing left because every time I sit down to feed LO it is suddenly break time for DH, or he just is tired  and needs to lay down because he just packed one box. He has been putting this off all week and now is yelling at me for micro managing him in wanting the packing to be organized. According to him pillows, cat food, forks and scarves go together just fine and should be packed together. He then snatched sleeping LO out of his swing and sat with him across his lap and played on his phone...not even holding him or paying attention to him while I packed.

    So I snatched LO back and locked myself in the bedroom for baby cuddles and nursing because I need a fucking break. I've juggled a cranky newborn day and night while packing up 75% of the apartment and doing other chores and I just can't anymore. When I go out there in an hour something better have gotten done or things are going to get ugly. When do I get to ignore responsibility and expect others to take care of it?
