Milk question -- WWYD

So I transported some milk in a cooler for about 6 hours today. It was packed with two ice packs. When I got to the hotel, the milk didn't feel especially cool. What do you think? Is it safe to use? Anything I should be on the lookout for? Thanks in advance for your help!

Were the ice packs still cold? If so I'd be ok with using the milk.

Smell it. Also: babies won't take sour milk.
  • As long as it was fresh and not frozen milk you should be ok. Fresh is good a room temp for 5-6 hours.

  • It had been refrigerated prior but was never frozen. The ice packs were still frozen. I'll offer it and see what happens. Thanks!

  • It will stick if it's bad. If it smells ok, then it probably is.
