Drop in fluid means labor is near?

I had a sono yesterday to check for fluid. They said I was at a 6.2. Last week my fluid level was 9. The sono tech said labor usually happens when it drops to a 5 or below. The only thing she couldn't know is whether I leaked it, or whether the baby just grew into it. Has anybody else had a drop in fluid? Was labor far off once you found out?

    I had a drop in fluid last week all the way down to a 5, they kept me in the hospital but due to my fluid going back up to an 11 they released me . Being only 29 weeks pregnant they were considering keeping me longer .
    Do you drink plenty of water ( 64oz) atleast ? And it's very hard to guess where it's leaked , have you notched any leaking at all ? Even a small amount? How far along are you

    My due date was yesterday. I haven't noticed any leaking at all.
