IHO Alana: how do you pronounce Kegels?

Her comment about being nicknamed "Kegs" got me thinking that I must pronounce it differently than she does. So... How do you say Kegels?

    ^ I say kee-guhls, and I've heard it pronounced kay-guhls but never keg-uhls. /:)

    I used to think KAY-guls, but my OB referred to them as KEE-guls and I assume she knows better than I do. So I now think of them as KEE-guls.

    The KEG-els is my version of KAY-gels... in my mind they're the same but you're right that there is a distinction.

    For real? =)) I watch Big Brother with my ILs, and there's a girl on there from Michigan that has this nasaly, northern accent. My MIL was like, "I've never heard an accent like hers before!" So I asked her if she had never watched Bobby's World when her boys were kids.

    But yes, I've heard people pronounce "leg," "egg" etc. with an long a sound instead of a short e sound. I was wondering about that too.
