I read this around an hour ago when it came out and it didn't say anything about it being shot down. I sure hope that's incorrect information.
Doesn't anyone else find it weird that they still haven't found the other plane?!
Didn't they stop looking for it? I thought the search was called off at one point.
They are still looking but the search is pretty limited I think.
There is so little real information about the crash today that I've given up reading about it. It seems that there is a pretty good possibility that it was shot down though.
BBC live is hinting that it could have been a surface to air missile. Seems like shot down is still a good possibility.
ETA: Lufthansa and air france are now refusing to fly over ukrainian airspace. I don't think they'd react that way if it was a mechanical malfunction or something.
In a war zone, who gives the clearance to fly a commercial flight over? I guess I'm saying, I wonder if it was safe for the airline to fly over in the first place? Was it not a known war zone? Seems strange...
I just can't believe with the insane amount of technology that we have, that we couldn't have a better idea of what happened before it went down, and a better location of where it went down

Or, maybe it was just a crash.
