Preparing Your Phone

My husband and I both have iPhones that we admittedly use too much. We plan to take our regular camera to the hospital, but I know well probably end up with the majority of pictures on our phones. I'm realizing that I'm running out of storage space on my phone, despite trying to delete things a few months ago. I've decided that this weekend I'll be sitting down and purging a lot off my phone so I don't run into the dreaded message saying you can't take a video / picture because of storage space.

Anyone else needing to create more digital space?

I currently have 897 pictures and 45 videos on my phone. I hear you! What's worse, I've already copied them to my PC. I just didn't delete.

Yes! That's the thing, I've got Dropbox on my phone and computer so it's all saved. When I'm bored I go through photos and delete a lot, but for whatever reason I feel like I just have to keep that picture of the dog on there, or Hawaii sunset, or... It's dumb.

I actually just went through and deleted almost all my text message conversations, which frees up a lot of space (each picture sent / received takes up space).

Same here. Sometimes I can snap a pic with Instagram and save it. I also copied to my computer weeks ago and haven't deleted.

You just made me delete the majority of my texts, now to sort through pics... I know there are a lot I can outright delete, I'm just horrible about doing it!

I have a lot of pics and videos but I'm also terrible with taking screen shots of post on Facebook and things like that that I want to go back and read. Most of the time I never go back and read them though /:)

I am like 3 updates behind because I don't have enough storage space on my phone. I need to copy my pictures to the iPad this weekend so I can start deleting them on my phone.

Ohhhh, it has never occurred to me to delete texts. I know I've already saved all the pictures from them, so goodbye texts that I'll never go back and read!

Great idea!! I need to do Dropbox since photos are where most of my storage is taken up.

Just copy to your computer then delete them off your phone. No need for a big purging.
