OMG - me too! My normally laid back quiet sweet baby has turned into quite the demanding needy one. Last night she nursed for almost two hours straight - every time she would fall asleep or pop off she would start howling for more two minutes later. I still keep track of her feedings on an app I have, and it says I nursed her for almost 6 hours yesterday. And I held her for a 2-hour nap.
It's kind of nice actually because I go back to work next week so I am enjoying all the cuddle time I can, but my ILs are here so that means all of this time is spent in the nursery. By the end of the night I could not wait to get out of that room!!!
The skills she is learning are so cool though - that makes it worthwhile!!!
It says that his leap is done but he started late so I'm guessing a couple of more days.... Oh man I'm literally like a zombie 2 days ago he was cranky the whole day I told DH to not ask me what I did all day because I did nothing well taking care of our child.... I need a break to catch back on my sleep please leap be done already I want my cutie pie back
I just can't seem to win with my LO. He spent all of week 11 cluster feeding with a sleep regression, but week 12 he's started taking solid scheduled two hour at a time naps 3 times a day, with the same night sleep pattern as week 11. I REALLY want to get back to the 6 hour stretches we had for week 9 and 10...
Anyone's LO start refusing a bottle during this leap? DD had been taking bottles since she was 5 or 6 weeks - not every day but we have never had a problem giving her one. The last two days we cannot get her to take one. She just chews on the nipple a little and laughs but then cries because she is hungry. I go back to work Monday so I am hoping this is leap-related temporary insanity. I will be gone 10 hours. Gah!
Any baby actually going on an eating strike during this? She seems to be eating less. She will eat for like 3 minutes and then cry. It's not really cluster feeding because she will go hour and half to two hours. Her night sleep seems to not be effected but she's not napping unless i hold her.
This has probably been asked before, but do leaps go by actual age or adjusted age?

I think Merri is on the other side. It's worth it. She laughed for the first time ever which, hands down, made me the happiest I've ever been in my whole entire life. Hubster and I cried happy tears of joy when she did it.
I thought teething was starting after seeing white hard lumps in the gums and on the bottoms, sleep regression, fussiness/clingyness, but now think it is leap 3 and Epstein pearls.
Where can I get more info on this LEAP stuff? I don't have a book or anything but just from reading these posts it seems to be exactly what we are going through! Is there a website that would explain it all? (I would try and research it myself but I am exhausted and you ladies sound like you know what you're talking about!) TIA!
haha i thought i had posted something about the leap turns out i was mid sentence when i left because of DS started sceamingbloddy murder i am happy to say my baby is back but this leap i was praying to god... no joke by far the worst
Okay this makes sense now. Mine turned 12 weeks on the 13th it has been a week of hell for us too. Non stop feeding, screams in the car won't nap unless held up every 3 hrs again at night!!! Oh I need to see the light
DD is also eating less, I'm glad that seems semi normal, I was getting a little worried. I don't want to believe in the accuracy of wonder weeks but every time I think "gee, DD is being super fussy" I look and according to WW she just started a leap. Darn you wonder weeks and your freaky ability to predict my baby's behavior!
Craziness! Jack has a weird appetite and thinks an hour of sleep at a time is suitable. I am a bit of a zombie. I'm excited for this phase to be over, then I realized once its over let the teething begin.

@LaBelle0412 - DD has an Epstein pearl too. Totally freaked me out when I first saw it. Babies are crazy little puzzles.
