One & Done: Only child

Positive vibes please

As you ladies know I went to the GM at work about my boss harassing me. While he believes me, my boss' boss does not and now the 2 of them have me under surveillance watching my every move. My car broke down on the way to daycare and they sent my boss to pick me up...I'm assuming they didn't really think that I am without a vehicle and just simply did not want to come in (really people on a Thursday not a Friday). Please send good vibes my way. I feel I'm going to be in for quite a fight :(

    Sending positive thoughts and good vibes your way. I don't want to seem too nosey but I wouldn't want to be employed at a place where they don't trust me when I tell them my car broke down.

    Thanks ladies. It all started last fall with me playing a board game with a few other departments and the general manager. After the game, she stormed over berated me in front of the rest of the company and stormed off. I reported her to HR and the Plant manager, things got tense (I was eating my lunch in my car, someone found me crying in a corner, telling me I'd be a better employee if I wasn't a parent, etc) then better now they're bad again. This past Friday, she was screaming at me in my face. I went and reported her to the general manager who believed me ( she did something similar to him a few weeks ago). When he informed plant manager (who believes she is a magical unicorn who can do NO WRONG) he was told to talk to her--> found out this am that they are placing me under surveillance. My car died and she picked me up. She doesn't drive out that far. I can only assume this was to ensure my car is really down (I don't have car keys and I have the info for the AAA tow driver, Bob).

    This isn't what I want to be doing. I work in a nuclear plant, but my degrees are in English and Business Communication. I just can't find a job and at this point I'm ready to quit and live off my 401k until I can find something.

    I have been documenting and keeping a log and I got in touch with my uncle who is a judge in case I need him to help with legal stuff. I'm actively searching more than before. Hopefully I can get out of there unscathed. At least I have a few coworkers who are more than happy to write letters of recommendation and also who have gone to the general manager informing him about her actions towards them.

  • If possible, I would look into speaking with an employment attorney. Make sure you document each occurrence. There are laws in place to protect whistle blowers.
