Baby's percentile?

We just had our two month doctor visit today and DS was up 5 lbs 11 oz, he was born 8 lbs 3 oz... He's in the 95th percentile hahaha! Let me tell you this boy can eat so I shouldn't be surprised. He typically eats 5oz of BM every 2.5 hours. He also grew 3.5 inches longer too.

How are your LO's progressing?

Re: Baby's percentile?

  • At 2 months mine was 50th percentile for weight but only 5th for length. She may be a shorty! Baby was born 7lbs 4oz and 18 inches and has only grown 3 in. Lucky for us we can wear onesies longer.
  • Loading the player...
  • Had our 2 month today too! She went from 7 lbs 7 oz to 9 lbs 15 oz. and 19.5 inches to 22. She's a peanut! She's at 22nd and 37th percentile but she is growing so that's all I care about! :) We finally got out of newborns last week but only cause of her length - so many outfits are wide on her!

No idea actually lol. I just get told he's on the curve and things are good. I try not to worry about it anyway. If ds is developing and happy then i am happy. Unless there is a major issue I'm good with knowing he's on the curve and things are good.

ETA: born 7-1, 20 inches. He's about 13 pounds now and 22 inches.
  • My DS was just above average on weight and height at his 1 month, but his head was in the 98%! Explains the 3 hours of pushing.... The dr said bigger head more brains and I can't disagree.
  • My baby boy was born at 8 lb 8 oz and at 2 months weighed 14 lb 12 oz which they said was 92 percentile. He is EBF and eating like a champ I guess!
  • My little guy was born at 7lbs (9 days early) lost weight and was 6lbs 10 oz at his 3 day appointment. Today at his 2 month check up, he is 13lbs 9 oz. basically doubled his weight. He is in the 87th percentile for everything. Also got 5 inches longer!
  • 92% for height and 63% for weight!
Now if only she would sleep that would be great....

  • At 2 months he was 16-2! That makes him off the chart for weight
and in the 90% for height. EBF.
  • This lo is in the 50% percentile for everything. But I don't put much thought into it. DS1 was 25% for up to 18 months and now he's in the 95%.

Though the doctor did remark about the size of his feet - I'm going to be starting a savings fund just for both their shoes.

  • I don't know percentiles (I think the dr said she was below the curve). Born 6lb 13oz, 20" and at 2 month checkup she was 9lb 11oz, 22".
  • Just had our appointment Tuesday. Born 10# 14oz & 22" which was 99th for height and 96th for weight. He's 15# 2oz & 24" now which is 98th for height and 95th for weight.

Pedi said his height is finally near the curve and his weight is in the "normal" range (5-95th percentile). We EP with no supplementation. I think the chart doesn't account for different growth patterns very well for instance the growth of a kid that starts out very small or large should probably be on a different chart with other similar babies to put their growth into context.
  • DS was 8 lb 6 oz and 20.82 in at birth.  At his 2 month appt he was 11 lb 13 oz and 23 in, which I think was 52 or 53 percentile for weight and 67th for height.
  • She is in the 50-75 percentile. Pedi said she weighs more than about 65% of babies her age. 25% in height. So she's just short and fat

    It's a BOY

  • Just had my appointment yesterday and she went from 7lbs 12 oz to 10lbs 4 oz and grew a bit in length not sure how much I was so nervous about her shots. She's in the 52% for height 72% for head and 17% for weight. Dr said she's eating plenty she's just lean which given my husband's and my build doesn't surprise me.

  • My little girl was born at 8lbs 2oz and according to the hospital she was 22in long but according to the pediatrician at 3 days old she was 21in long. She will be 2 months on Sunday and is 11lbs and 23.5in long. She is 50th for weight and 90th for height! What was your baby's head size?
  • Head size at birth?
  • 43% for weight (12 pounds even at 2 months- born at 9.1), 95% for height.
  • 95% on weight. Went from 8.2 to 14lbs! And has a giant head

  • 60 height, 33 weight at 2 months
  • LO's head size was 14.5 when he was born and is now 16 inches, that was 75th percentile

  • DS was 9lb 8oz at birth. He's riding the 97% line and was 15lb 7oz at his 2 month appointment yesterday. He was 21in at birth and was 25.75in yesterday, which is off the charts! Makes sense though since I'm 5'11" and DH is 6'2". Both of my parents are also tall.

    At 2 months, C was 30% for length, 20% for weight, and 10% for cranial. (9lbs, 9oz, 22.5in long, 35.5cm)
On the small side, so kinda worried about it even though our pedi isn't.

  • LO was induced two weeks early due to PIH and he was 9.2 and at two month appt was 15 lbs! He was in 96% for weight. He's a chunk. And height and head measured in curve. So he's. Healthy monkey.

  • I have an Amazon woman in the making, apparently.  She was off the charts for height and about 80th percentile for weight at her 2 month appointment.

At his 1 month checkup, he was 99 for weight & 97 for height.  2 month appointment is next week.  I'm anxious to see how much he's grown because sometimes it seems he grows during the course of a nap!

  • Hmm...I guess I have the littlest LO so far - she's staying right along the 10th %ile for weight (so pedi wasn't concerned and said her weight gain is OK) 25th %ile for height and 50th for head circumference.

She was just 8lbs15oz at 2 month spot. Born at 7 lbs 9 oz which dropped to 7 lbs 2 oz first day or two. Head was 14 inches at birth now 15 and something. Length measurements have seemed bogus (since they showed her shrinking from birth to first pedi visit but officially born 21" then I think they said 22" at 2 month appt but she's got to be longer because 0-3 month onesies are getting too short.

She's strong and alert and babbles up a storm and fills up lots of diapers so I think she's doing just fine
