So yesterday I called my OB to ask if it was "normal" to stand up and have tan fluid run out of you. Not regular discharge, I didnt pee myself. It was a puddle. It was like water. Ive never experenced this (pregnancy joy). They thought it may be amniotic fluid leaking. They told me to go straight to the ER. When I get there and check in, I over hear the two receptionists talking about whether to send me upstairs or keep me downstairs. The one woman says "Shes 19 weeks. 20+ weeks goes upstairs. Under 20 stays downstairs for a possible loss". Now im freaking out. My phone was about to die. When I get to the room, the DR feels my belly and asks about pain level. I told him that I was not in pain. He asked me if I could still feel the baby. More tears. But yes, i could. Then I have an ultrasound. They wouldnt let me see the screen or ask any questions

. Im especially nervous since I also had a scare at 11 weeks when I bled alot of bright red blood. After being there over 5 hours, im cleared to go home. They said it may have been a part of the mucus plug with runny discharge. No ruptures, rips, or amniotic fluid. Baby is healthy and growing fine. Amniotic fluid is normal. Thank God. Then I find out that that ultrasound took the place of my scheduled anatomy ultrasound on July 25th. I did not find out the sex yesterday and they did not document the sex. I did not see my beautiful baby

. Now, obviously the most important thing is that baby is fine! But still, its disappointing. I understand my insurance doesnt pay for a "happy" ultrasound and the important things were reviewed and documented but it was such a sad and frightning substitute. I asked how much it would be to pay out of pocket for the scheduled ultrasound. Forget it...thousands of dollars (hospital). So I scheduled an elective ultrasound at a non-hospital location for $100.00 on the 25th to find out the sex...so we can still have our small reveal BBQ on the 27th (we will find out the sex at the BBQ too). So in the end, everything turned out okay and we will find out the sex as planned. But what a crazy, unexpected day yesterday. I just wanted to see my bean. At least I still will soon

. Allllllllllll that matters is having a healthy baby. I feel for everyone else who has also had scares and ER trips. We are basically half way there ladies. Getting closer.....

That is so scary. I'm sorry you have to deal with this.
I had a similar experience (I'd peed my pants though. Classy) and when I called the nurse had me go to the ER. It was very scary!
