So here's my birth story finally!
Short version:
Briseis Vianney was born June 21st (summer solstice baby) @ 11:52 pm. She weighed 6 lbs 13oz and 20 in long.
Long version:
So after a week of light but timeable contractions and a couple of false alarms, I woke up Saturday the 21st with some pretty strong contractions but for the first time in a week they weren't timeable, so I didn't worry much about it. I actually slept until 10 and felt pretty rested, we got up and as I went to the restroom i noticed some bloody show but I didn't want to make a big deal so we showered got ready and headed to have some lunch. By about 3 my contractions were once again timeable and getting stronger, but after 2 false alarms I refused to go in and be turned away, so we waited. At about 6 they were 3-6 min apart and strong enough that I had to stop what I was doing, so I called L&D and was told that since I lived an hour away it'd be a good idea to go in and get checked. So after an hour and a few phone calls we arrived at the hospital and were put in triage. I was checked but I was still at a 2, same as I was at my appt on Wednesday, so they put me on a monitor for an hour. After which I had dilated to a 3 and was told I'd be admitted to L&D, but they were so busy and short handed that we had to wait for an hour before getting us back to a room. By this time, it was something like 8:30 pm, my contractions were so painful that I was having a hard time focusing but they were still far enough apart that I would get some relief and now at a 5. At about 11:25 I was checked again and was still at a 5 I saw that this was going to take a I asked for some pain meds to take the edge off the pain , 10 minutes later I had the urge to pee so I asked for a bed pan. The moment they turned me over I felt a huge pain and a sudden urge to push. After telling the nurse she told me to wait until she checked me again and sure enough i was at a 10 but the baby was still high, but I still had the huge urge to push and I couldn't hold it any longer so I pushed and the nursed said WOW! She called the other nurses in and had the doctor come up immediately, it was no longer than 5 minutes but it felt like hours before he got there, she refused to let me keep pushing until he got there. After the Dr finally got there we all ready and after 1 push and a half miss Briseis came flying into the world, literally DH said she flew out lol, @ 11:52 pm (she was cutting it close) weighing 6 lbs 13oz and 20 in long. I couldn't believe how fast and slow everything happened. And now a few pics!

I think it's cool that we had the same due date and both ended up with summer solstice babies B-)

@puttyeast that is pretty awesome they almost weighed the same too. We almost didn't make it thought she wanted to wait until the last possible moment lol!
