Can we have a Thursday B*tchfest?

Unless I'm mistaken I think we skipped this this week and WTF Wednesday. And I have something to b*tch about...

My husband is big into golf. So his alarm goes off this morning, and I have a minifreakout because mine normally goes off much earlier than his and I thought I missed mine. Well, I look at my phone and it was 3 a.m. He had set it so he could watch the start of the British Open in real time, which is going on right now.

When I gave him crap about it this morning, he says "well, you were asleep by 6..." True, but that doesn't mean I want to be awake at 3!

@norweigan I make DH put his alarm in the bathroom if he has to wake up early for that reason. I still need my sleep and it takes forever to fall back asleep!

My bitchfest is that I work a night shift tonight and that just fucking sucks.

  • why does chosing between two insurances suck so much?  we either pay the $2k+ before the baby is born or after..why does this decision have to be so difficult for my husband to understand!!

  • I HATE WORK TODAY!!! Had technical difficulties with the video teleconferencing technology in a meeting and the boss seemed to think it was my lack of technical capabilities that were causing the problems. It was not! Even the office VRTC expert couldn't figure that shit out. Then two guys that missed that meeting from our operations department asked me to walk them through the presentation... it wasn't my presentation, I was just the one projecting the freaking slides! So I told them I really didn't think I could give them much more info than was on the slides and that I spent the majority of the presentation trying to work out the technical difficulties but they still made me give it a go anyways. I had no clue! I probably sounded and looked like a freaking idiot! Im sure they didn't mean to make me feel bad, but I legitimately just want to crawl under my desk and cry right now. • Okay, I've got 2:

MHs family is stopping by all week with his parents dropping in with an hours notice for dinner last night (at least they picked up pizza) and my BIL staying with us until Sunday starting today. MHs family is not good at cleaning up after themselves and DH makes a mess in the kitchen when they are here (their family normally has dessert every night, I don't plan for that so it's up to him to figure it out). Last night when DHs parents left I asked him to clean up the stuff from dessert and I got the excuse of "well then I will be late going to bed" (aka keeping me up). I'm pregnant and make half the mess he does in the kitchen, I don't think it is fair I constantly clean up his messes.

    2. ACID REFLUX BLOWS! Yesterday it was an all day affair. Waiting for it to rear it's ugly head today :/
  • All I want are freaking TACOS! From Taco Bell nonetheless, and iv been giving into these taco cravings and my body is thanking me for these incredibly tasty tacos by letting them go straight to my ass. Ugh :(
  • My husband leaves for Portland in a week, to attend a beer festival that his work is paying for. I'm soooo bitter and trying not to be. I'm a SAHM and yes, I chose to do this(it made more sense financially) but it has been TWO years since I've spent one night away from my kids. This is my husbands 3rd trip without me because his work won't swing the bill for a guest to go with them. They basically send guys from his work and make it a "boys trip" even though he is NOT working, all leisure time!! He gets to leave the house every.freaking.day and Im always stuck here. Ugh!!!!
  • @Rileymom1 it sounds like you REALLY need a girls weekend away after your husband gets back from his trip! Have any girlfriends you can plan a weekend with and leave the kids at home with dad? You could even do a 'staycation' at a fun hotel in your town with your husband for just one or two nights if there is a neighbor or friend you could leave the kids with... I don't blame you for being a little bitter though, sounds like you need a break!

Thankfully, the week after he gets back my MIL is taking the kids for the weekend, for the 1st time in nine years. That takes some of the bitterness away but not all...ha!!

I thought about flying to see a friend but were trying to save $$ since having the baby and purchasing all his stuff will be a good $5k or more.

  • I have a second thing to bitch about today: I'm tired of being pregnant today. Overall, usually, most days this isn't a complaint I have - it's amazing to know I'm creating a life, and I love feeling my little one squirming around in there. But I'm tired of not having a real appetite or enjoying food anymore, I'm tired of feeling unattractive and not really fitting into my clothes, I'm tired of the little cramps and weird aches that keep pestering me, and I'm tired of worrying about buying baby stuff instead of buying myself pretty new shoes or earrings. I want to wear a gorgeous dress, high heels, and drink fancy cocktails at a nice restaurant, and look good doing it, and I'm pouting that it just isn't an option right now. I know it's all petty and selfish, but that's just how I feel tonight.

This. I know exactly how you feel.

  • @gradschoolmom1234 if you can, you should go buy yourself a new dress or a shirt or something, have some fun! Be the sexy woman you are! WORK IT!!! THIS IS AN ORDER!!!
@mightymango‌ this made me smile and laugh and cry all at the same time. Thank you!
@gradschoolmom1234 You're welcome! Try not to be too hard on yourself and enjoy the journey :)
  • @gradschoolmom1234‌ reading your post reminded me that in France, pregnant women are often perceived as very sexy. I can't remember where I read this, maybe in Paris to the Moon? Anyway, the point is, culturally women who are pregnant are seen as very luscious, sexy women because they're fertile and obviously have been having sex ;) I think that's a lovely way to reframe the situation (even though I'm well aware of all the unsexy feelings of being pregnant). I hope you get your hot-mama-to-be feeling this weekend :)

  • My rant is an embarrassingly 1st world problem. But here it goes:

My prenatal yoga class is bursting at the seams and it is obnoxious. Why can't we have a sign up or cap or something so we don't have to be doing yoga practically on top of each other? Or offer more than one session? And people keep coming in late and we all have to scoot our mats and crap over to try to squeeze in one more person, everyone gets hot and gross, and then we end up spending 40 minutes "checking in" and hardly getting to the yoga. It leaves me feeling less than zen.
