Anyone still in the RNP?

Because this happened today: image

We only put him there for naps, and we ALWAYS strap him in. I was just testing what he would do without the straps while spotting him. He was laughing as he tried to climb out.

I feel the pictures are good evidence to make sure the grandmas use the straps!

DS1 happily lounged quietly in the RNP until he reached the weight limit.

Just retired ours this weekend because DS2 was doing the same thing.
  • LO will nap in it sometimes although he will lay in it backwards when he does.  He likes being on his tummy.
  • Someone came to the door the other day and I set LO in the Mamaroo for about a 20 seconds while I opened the door and she was attempting the exact same escape technique as your pictures!
We've had the same issue with the Mamaroo too. Sad but it's time to go, and I'll be glad to get a bit more space back in our living room.

I caught her pulling herself up by the dangling mobile thing last week! This girl has amazing core strength and can sit up without grabbing anything. We are still using mamaroo, swing, and RNP but never unattended anymore. I love watching them grow up but seriously... My life gets so much more difficult when they become mobile!

  • We're still using it right next to our bed but she's in a sleep sack and doesn't wiggle around in it. I know our days are numbered though and have no clue what we're transitioning her to.
