Hi everyone. I'm feeling like this is maybe where I belong now. I am a somewhat active member of SAIF and my BMB, but my issues now don't really fit either of those boards. DH and I were diagnosed with unexplained infertility and I responded well to metformin for my PCOS-like symptoms. We had 4 failed IUI cycles and DS was conceived through IVF#1. I did conceive twins and sadly between my 9th and 10th week one of the babies vanished.
My pregnancy was normal except for a few weeks in the end where I was put on bed rest for severe edema. My delivery was traumatic and I had to have an emergency c-section. 20 days after I gave birth, I was admitted back into the hospital because I had retained placenta (dumb doctor) and had to have an emergency D&C.
Fast forward to now. I went back to my RE to start a FET and failed my Saline Sonogram. The catheter went up but no other liquid would pass. I then went to have a repeat HSG and once again, the catheter went up but not dye would pass. It appears that my uterus is closed up together. right above the cervix, possibly further. This most likely as a result of having the D&C and c-section so close together and the raw sides forming uterine adhesions, or possible Asherman's Syndrome.
The good news is that I get a normal period so there must be an opening somewhere. So the plan as of now is have a repeat saline sonogram (while on my period) using a small dose of the drug cytotec (to dilate my cervix) so that the can get find the opening of where the blood is coming. From there I'll have a hysteroscopy and they can hopefully remove the tissue, put a balloon up there for a couple of days and we can schedule a FET soon. Until then, will you have me?

BFP #7 (beyond surprised again!) 4/26/16. EDD 1/5/17. beautiful betas!!!! and then near-fatal hemorrhagic corpus luteum. turns out baby was ectopic after all; another lap 5/6 (@24dpo).
