AW yourself here!

We AW our kids all the time, but I thought it would be fun to AW ourselves for a change.  Put anything you're proud of here!

  • Opened this thread to AW myself, without being the only one to do so :\"> Seriously though, a lot of you have been talking about house projects, birthday parties, and art classes- all things I'd love to see the results of.

Here is the result of  our family fig picking.  I am by no means a good cook, so I'm pretty proud of what came of it:

Pork chops with fig balsamic sauce, rosemary/chive/mustard seed mashed potatoes, and corn:

Prosciutto, fig, goat cheese pizza, with basil and tomatoes from the garden, and salad:

Spaghetti with wine goat cheese sauce, walnuts, figs, capers, and spinach:

Now it's time for us to eat fig-free for a while.

Omg, all of this looks sooooooo good! Now I really want figs!

  • P.S. I really want fig pizza. All of those meals look amazing!

  • That food looks great! Where do you live that you can pick figs? I've never heard of them growing near me.

I signed up for a pole fitness class in an effort to stretch my boundaries (fitness and personality wise). The first class was fun and not nearly as complicated as I expected.

@melody921, I've always wanted to do this! A girl I used to work with took a class as part of a huge Bachelorette party they went to and said it was so much fun.

  • I stayed up way too late to get my deal at Kohls. Come to find out I didn't need to stay up until 12am (which didn't work anyway) so I ordered my Keurig this morning. I got the Keurig Mini for $45 shipped. Thank you Kohls cash, 30% discount and free shipping code!

We live in Augusta, GA, but I know they grow in California and TX too... I think anywhere that has a mediterranean-like climate?

I went to target today & only spent $60. And I only bought one extra thing that wasn't on my list.

This would be a serious accomplishment for me, too!

I have 2 fig trees in my yard and live outside of DC. My Italian family has figs in NJ. Tropical climate not needed.

If you have a class near you, it's definitely fun!

That is what we did for my bachelorette party. It was so fun and man were my thighs killing me the next day. Amazing workout for your legs and thighs.

I have a friend who competes in fitness pole dancing competitions. She started taking one of these classes and loves it so much she kept it up. She won the last competition she was in. Her body is amazing, it's clearly a good work out!

  • OK, now I totally want to try one of these workouts.  I have ZERO core and upper body strength and was always worried I'd be the jellyfish on the pole!

  • @Pokedot‌ I'm sorry it didn't work for you, but yay for the good deal anyway!

We've gotten out of the house 3 out of 4 days this week, and ate dinner as a family last night! I feel like maybe the last week of being really lazy jump started some good habits for us as a family.

Now to get back to cooking/meal planning...

  • I left the office before 5:30 two nights in a row. I am NOT drinking the grape Fanta on my desk that my co-worker gave me. We got our crap together in time to eat outside last night.

I was supposed to not go out to eat this month and join the gym instead, but I screwed that up today. So that is NOT on the list.
