Friends and family have suggested buying a bunch of cheap toys to keep Benjamin occupied on our coast-to-coast flight. This sounded like a great idea, until I started to shop. Everything I'd be willing to pack seems like a choking hazard. I know several of you have flown with LOs, so give me some recommendations! I'm definitely planning to bring a bunch of cheerios, and maybe I'll even introduce goldfish or something exciting. So I think I'll be okay for snacks, but I don't think he can just eat for 6 hours.
Any other advice for traveling with a toddler is also welcome. I'm pretty nervous, and DH already thinks this is going to be a nightmare. We have 1 layover in each direction.
Re: Airplane Travel toys/ideas?
Bring snacks. Tons of snacks.
Also, a few toys and books are a good idea. Gift wrap them. I know that sounds crazy, but it is very exciting for them to unwrap something, even if it's something they already own and are re-discovering.
