Okay, I'm having a horrible time with this thought you ladies could help. I'm 14 weeks pregnant. Two days ago I got a call from my OB saying my lab results came back positive for a UTI. So they put me on antibiotics and yesterday was my first time taking them. I woke up this morning and I was bleeding like a orange/red color. So I called my OB ASAP and they said it was normal for the antibiotic I was prescribed to and to just keep an eye on it but it should be fine as long as it's not coming from my vagina. The doctor said to make sure it's not coming from my vagina to put a tampon in for a little bit. I put one in and took It out about two minutes later and it was a brown/red almost like old blood. So I called again and they told me that if I'm still cramping tomorrow to call and try to get in. My next appointment isn't until Monday. I'm just really concerned and wondering what you would do ?

    I guess I would wait to see the doc? Although if you're really scared you could go to the ER. But the bleeding could be caused by your cervix being irritated from the infection.

    I have been battling UTIs. I have not had your symptoms but like NatureLovers said you could just be blood from your infection. Are you cramping? If your not I wouldn't be too worried..just wait for the doctor visit and try and stay calm.

    I had a UTI at 9 weeks and did a 10 day Macrobid (antibiotic).  Being this is my first I asked the doctor the risks for the baby in taking it, his response was "You are in more danger hurting your baby by getting in a vehicle than taking this." Might not be great advice, but I did notice I was slightly more swollen in my abdomen (along with the other symptoms) while I had the infection.  Regardless of the bleeding in the morning, it would probably make you more comfortable to try and get in tomorrow. It will put you at ease for the weekend and the less stress the better.

    Hey ! Thanks for your replies ladies :) I actually had an ultrasound ordered this morning ! The baby is very healthy and doing good ! I'm so releaved, So they are thinking it's just the bladder infection. Now I can finally relax lol.
