Moving?....

DH just applied for a position in San Francisco - and they solicited his application personally, so I think he has a chance of getting the job.  It would mean more money for him, but since the Bay Area is expensive, I think it would be a wash.  In any case...I surprised myself at how thrilled I was to maybe be getting out of the valley.  I do NOT mean any offense to my fellow Sacramento-area J13ers...but I'm just ready for a change.

So, my fingers are sort of crossed.  On the other hand, moving would require us to fix up and sell our home, find affordable housing in the Bay Area with good schools, still close enough for me to commute to Sacramento for work a few times per week, etc.  Plus, DH and I are still in a bad place in our marriage, not sure if a move would hurt or help.

So, maybe a change on the horizon.

    Wishing you good luck with everything. We just moved about six blocks from our current house and that was enough craziness for me! Don't think too far ahead and overwhelm yourself!

    We just moved from Southern California to the east bay and really love it! The house prices are crazy high though. Good luck either way!

    Let me know if you do relocate to SF. I can give you some advice on neighborhoods. FWIW, the public school system is a lottery system. Kids from certain neighborhoods have an advantage, so some parents move to the neighborhood that might position their kids better to get into the school they want.

    @URMySunshine77 - I will totally take you up on the advice if we need it.  My BFF is in Kensington, so she can help as well, but I'll take all the input I can get!
