AH: First glimpse at follies **Update 5**

15 follies were measured today. Most were borderline ready to go. So, I continue with meds tonight (day 13) and we go back tomorrow for u/s only. I imagine (and hope desperately) that I will trigger tomorrow night and go for ER on Saturday.

Today will be day 11 of stims. I had 12 follies that were measured this morning, with most being in the 14-15 mm range. I'm continuing with 400 iu Gonal-F, 10 units HCG and one dose of Ganirelix for tonight and tomorrow night. Back up Wednesday morning for bw and u/s again. He said this morning that he is anticipating that I will trigger Wednesday night for retreival on Friday. He said that maybe it would get pushed to Saturday, but probably Friday will be the date.
I've been feeling pretty good up to this point. I'm not sure that the Ganirelix agrees with me very well though. I'm not uncomfortable yet, which is good. I can feel that my ovaries are full though, especially during the u/s this morning.

At my monitoring this morning he measured 12 follies, with most being 10-12 mm. I'm upping my Gonal-F to 400 tonight and tomorrow, HCG staying at 10 units and then I will be adding Ganirelix tomorrow. We go back Monday for the next monitoring. When we were in NYC yesterday, I ended up doing my shots in the bathroom of the Stonewall Inn. I thought that was pretty cool - not that I got to do them in a bar bathroom, but that I got to do them in Stonewall. I thought it was fitting in some way. It's the little things that excite me... ---------------- Today will be day 6 of stims. As of this morning, there were 10 follies that were measured. All were about the same and ranged from 7-9 mm. Thank goodness I can read the measurements and understand because the RE I had today was anything but talkative. I had to keep track of each measurement to even know how many there were and he was definitely in a hurry. He did say that they were being conservative with my meds because of how I have responded to Gonal-F in the past. I'm ok with that because everything I have learned on the IF board tends to show that a longer stimming time is better. I will know this afternoon what the next part of the plan is.

Just think... one of those little blobs on the ultrasound could turn into your perfect little baby! This process never stops amazing me.... I am glad that you had a good count, and seem to be feeling pretty positive!

I'm 33, have severe stage 4 endo, and had both fallopian tubes removed. My love ("Manada" on the boards, 32) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tavin and Casey at 21 weeks gestation.

with @Manada: IUI# 1-7 (December 2012- September 2013) all BFN. Tried natural, femara, clomid, puregon/follistim, clomid and menopur combo, both the ovidrel and HCG triggers.
Our IVFs:
IVF #1 my eggs November/December 2013: Cancelled IVF due to poor response
IVF #2 my eggs/Manada's uterus January/February 2014
BCPs and lupron overlap Stimmed: 1/22-2/2: Bravelle and Menopur (dosage ranged from B300 and M150 to B375 and M150 to B300 and M225)
2/4 retrieved 10 eggs. Endo was much worse than expected. Only 3 eggs fertilized; February 7 transferred two day 3 embryos, froze one. All great condition.
BFP eve of 6dp3dt; Beta 1 (11dp3dt): 110; Beta 2 (13dp3dt): 175; Beta 3 (15dp3dt): 348; Beta 4 (19dp3dt): 2222; Beta 5 (21dp3dt): 4255
