Cloth Diapering

Wet Bags

edited July 2014 in Cloth Diapering
What wet bags do you ladies like? I bought all Alva and Kawaii, and after 15 months...the alva all delaminated except one, and the zippers are broken on the Kawaiis. I'm going back to work full time, so I need something for daycare (so, not so costly is good since I need a few) since they probably won't appreciate my broken ones I've been using. :)

Also, using cloth was a complete nonissue when I asked them about it, even though they've never done it before!

Edited because words are hard!

  • Planet wise are the best IMO. Not sure of your exact price point though

Less than planet wise. :-/ So, I guess I'm asking what's the best of the cheaper ones.

I have 2 bummis fabulous wetbags, 1 from gmd, and 2 planet wise. 1 bummis has delaminated but still works, one is in new condition, the gmd delaminates and got a hole in it just after a few months use and the zipper broke on one of my planet wise bags. I have one blueberry wet bag that is still in great condition. I would buy the blueberry and bummis again.

  • I love my cheap ones from Assunta, way more than my planet wise, but I have a feeling that they are actually alva, so probably not helpful.

  • I like the kanga care ones. Big and durable.
  • I've had 2 bummis delaminate on me within 6mo of use. But they at least keep replacing them.

I've had 5 bummis I've been rotating for 2 years (and I put them in the dryer) and they are still in great shape. I like them much more than my pw ones.

I just got the Dino print PW one...I really love them. But they also don't get daily use :-/. I remember the bummis being super expensive, no?

I thought the bummis were cheaper, but they have mixed reviews on Anazon...as well as here, apparently.

  • Maybe I will just get one of each instead of committing to a bunch of one brand. Problem solved. Apparently, along with but all the diapers, I have to buy all the wet bags. Sigh.

  • Maybe check out Etsy for a handmade one?
  • I had Bummi's that I loved but I don't know if it would be big enough to use for daycare. PW are amazing but expensive. I also had a drawstring one (Grovia maybe?) which was good, but I don't like drawstring

  • I have 2 Sweet Pea wetbags that are my go-tos. I don't have long-term use with them yet, but they were only $10 each.

I'm also a PW user. They might be expensive but the quality is excellent. I've used my first one every single diaper change of every day and it is still like brand new. I hang them to dry and don't use the dryer, so that probably helps with the life span, but I'm very happy with them.

  • I have several types: PW, KangaCare, and cheapie LotusBumz or something like Awesome Blossom? from Zulily! Flame away. I don't have any Zulily diapers, but I have a bunch of $10 wetbags that I don't care what happens to them. My Blueberry wetbag somehow got the fabric handle caught in the washer and it shredded/ripped off. I'm all about cheap wet bags.

  • I have this Kawaii one that's my go-to to send while I'm at work. It holds 12 hours worth of diapers for $10. The handle fell off early but otherwise is good. I hang to dry image

I got this last Black Friday, and another one, and both zippers broke already, so I'm over kawaii, which is too bad, because I love their diapers.

    @jepes1348 (why isn't it tagging??)

LotusBumz, etc on zulily are just alvas.

I got a swaddlebees, a bumpkins, and the 2-pack @bkroxfan003‌ posted since there was one amazon prime one. Once I start working and have more money to spend I might add a PW and bummis one. Thanks, ladies!

  • Just for the record, the Bummis ones work great for my toddler.  They easily fit 4 diapers.  Daycare really rolls them up nice and tight in there.  And I like that their medium has a handle.  Where planetwise does not.
