My fiance and I are going to start registering on Friday.... we're thinking of BuyBuyBaby and Target. Any other stores you would recommend? This is our first baby, so what are some MUST-HAVE items that we should include? Thanks so much ladies!
The Targets in my area have a much better selection online than in the store. My family is not the type to like to order things from the internet, so they got frustrated with Target if it didn't have much in stock. We still registered there, but reserved the bigger items for Babies R Us, where they had a larger selection of stuff in store (Buy Buy Baby wasn't an option for us - there's not one in our area - if you register at BBB, there's not really a need to register at BRU too, in my opinion).
The stores will give you a suggested check list. You won't need nearly the amount of stuff they suggest. There's a lot of "extras" they will label as "necessities".
We registered at Target and Babies R Us; the websites are accessible and being from RI, the stores are pretty accessible for the people who don't do online shopping.
I swear by the baby swaddlers - not the swaddling blankets that can come undone, the sleep sack ones. DD was STTN at 6-7 weeks because of those things!

No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
When I was registering on the Target website, I made sure to filter my search results to only items that were available in the store. Some things were also available online, but everything could be found in the store (depending on the location's inventory obviously).

I liked Lucie's List as a guide for registering - www.lucieslist.com
Good luck!
