I had my first appointment today--it took 2.5 hours but we had the most exciting part at the beginning. The tech said everything looked great, and baby's heartbeat is a strong 156 bpm. This is a huge sense of relief for me since I've been preparing myself for the worst since my last pregnancy ended in MC. Now I feel like I can tell my close family and let myself get used to being pregnant :)

Here's a couple shots (the round thing is the yolk sac--MH thought it was a detached head)

    Oh lawd, I would be scared of it were twins--one is hard enough! I have mad respect for moms of twins+.

    So exciting! How far along are you? I have my second tomorrow...my first was at 4 weeks and nothing but Hormones were seen to start with.

    @jhefley I'm 7 weeks 1 day today :)  The tech or OB didn't tell me how far along the baby was measuring, but I think if it was measuring behind they would've said something.  I've heard of people not being able to see anything at 5ish weeks but then at 6 weeks you can see a lot more, like the heartbeat.  Good luck tomorrow!
