February 2013 Moms

what is your baby into these days?

M loves Elmo, letters, baths, cats, dogs, and markers.  She is proficient at i-phone use.  She loves her blankey.  She likes to do stickers.  She drinks from a grown up straw cup, but nothing spill proof.  She strongly desires to climb up slides, but is not very good at it.  She mostly likes to run around.

  • I put a small tupperware bin out on the porch and fill it with water, give her a cup and she's entertained for hours. Or at least until all the water has all been dumped out.
She also loves playing with DH's tools, so I bought her a plastic tool set from Amazon and she goes around "tightening" screws with the screw driver and hammering things.

  • Mine is 100% girl these days...she loves shoes, purses, and jewelry. She always has a hair band around her wrist and carries her purse on her arm :). She also loves her daddy's boots and riding the lawn mower :)
  • Henry Hugglemonster, it is on when I am getting ready for work, and he is obsessed.
    His sister, he adores her.
His sister's play kitchen.  He discovered the pot boils.
    Climbing on the kitchen table.
The dog. He is always trying to French her.
    Balls...he loves to play catch.
    His penis.  Apparently it's awesome.
  • Oh, yes, I forgot about shoes.  She's obsessed.

  • She loves to go outside and just walk around, seeing what she can get into.

    Balls.

Destroying as much as she can (this is pretty much the only result of having her "play" with toys; things thrown around everywhere).

Books, if she's in the right mood.

Sitting on the couch or bed with us.

    Petting the cats.

She just loves interaction with us of any kind. If we are not paying attention to her, she's not usually very good at entertaining herself. She's very social.

Oh, almost forgot. DS just learned the concept of getting a boo-boo. Now anytime he trips, stumbles, falls, bumps into anything, or if someone says uh-oh, he starts clutching some part of his body and saying "boo-boo" over and over. It happens constantly! :)

  • Kira is also obsessed with shoes! Is this a thing?

Ds loves his shoes. He is always trying to put them on. But I suspect he thinks that means he can go outside.

A while ago, E feel gotten the stairs and really cracked his head. So we have him a padded kiddy ice pack we call booboo kitty (it's help kitty shaped). We put it on his head. Now, any time he has an ouch and we give him the icy, he puts it on his head. Even if the booboo is somewhere else.

He also puts anything c cold on his head — frozen peas, ice cubes, lunch over packs....

  • Outdoors (if we open the door to the backyard and he's not leaving the house, he has a fit)
Anything with water- baths, pools, sprinklers, dog dishes, the water collector under the fridge (so gross)!
Cuddles. He is such a cuddly guy.
Chilling on the sofa in the morning to wake up.
    Squishing his head on you
    Piggy back rides
Anything involving being spun around or picked up really high. He loves it when DH does "pizza pie"
    His buddies at daycare
    Balls... Or things on wheels
    Things that sing
    Dancing
Going places (park, stroller, grocery store... He hates being stagnant at home)
Sleep- seriously, he dives into his crib each night as soon as I am done saying our good night saying.
